Default Tutorial Guidelines - ***Updated 10/31/2010 - Please Read***

To make sure Splitcoaststampers remains a source of useful and fun papercrafting information, we have established the following rules regarding members directing our community to their own sites or other crafty places outside of the Splitcoast community.
  • If you post a tutorial or project in our community and include a link that directs members to your blog or non-sales website for more information, please read the following:
    • Projects posted on Splitcoast must include pictures and project details. Projects posts should not consist solely of a photo or a message directing people to your blog or website for more information. We cannot ensure that external content will be permanent in any way, so including pictures and details on Splitcoast is so that project information members find here is always available to the community.
  • For example, posts like this are not permitted
    • Hey - I have a great tutorial on how to make a castle and a real live prince out of cardstock and tissue paper - click here: www.mygreatblog.com (Does not include photos or details)

  • Posts like this are also not permitted:
    • Hey - here's a tutorial on how to make this angel with a die cutting machine and glitter - check it out at www.mygreatblog.com. (Includes picture but no details)

  • This is a great example of a Splitcoast friendly tutorial post:
    • I have a great tutorial on how to make this angel with a die cutting machine and glitter.

  • First, cut the angel out with your magic angel die. Then sprinkle glitter all over it. You don't even need glue - that's how great this project is. Finally, punch a hole in the angel and attach gold thread. then you can hang it on your Christmas tree and amaze your friends. More details and photos on my blog here: www.mygreatblog.com/angelglittermagic
Each link to a blog or another non-sales external website must be directly to the project referenced, not to the main site address, and not contain blog candy or other items already excluded by our site posting rules.

Thank you for sharing your crafty expertise in our community.
