Technique done on black cardstock

I received a tutorial using black cardstock, I think it was embossed in white, and then colored with either water color pencils or crayons. I thought I saved it but can not seem to find it now. It was really pretty and unique, I know that is not much help, but maybe someone remembers it. I sure hope so as I would love to give it a try. Thanks LOTRhobbit (Joan)

I found it, under resources, sorry I am still trying to find my way around here. I really want to try this one out. Hugs Joan

Could you possibly share the link to the tutorial? I'd be interested in checking it out. Thanks!

I am not sure how to do a link on here, but if you go to "Resources" at the top of the opening page, then go to page (5) it is the one called "Black Magic". There is a video and a print out type Tutorial. I have the white ink, black cardstock, and water color pencils, so all I have to do now is give it a try. Hope you are able to find it, & good luck. It also works well with non-watercolour pencils too :D, so don't feel restricted to using only watercolour pencils.
Just for your information there's a similar technique called Chalkboard using chalks - Splitcoaststampers - Chalkboard Technique Tutorial by Beate Johns.

Another question involving black cardstock

Can anyone tell me what kind of paper is best to line the inside of handmade cards made on black/dark cardstock? Do you leave the paper loose (just tacking down at the fold) or do you glue the paper down all around the inside? Thanks, I am relatively new to all this and appreciate any help.

For cardstock that dark it might be a good idea to use a tag die or Spellbinders die and stamp the sentiment on light colored paper. I'm sure the ladies will also have other suggestions.

Hi and welcome!

For a lighter inner liner, just do what pleases you best! You can stick the whole thing down, attach at the fold, print or stamp...it's your creation and you get to make the rules.

Stamp happy!
