What is paper tole and does anyone have a tutorial other than the flower...when I look at cards that say paper tole it just looks like they layered or stacked the paper of certain parts
Hopefully it will give you an idea of how to create this look. I did use a flower stamp - but you can use any stamp that has large open areas. |
I just posted a tutorial on making ribbon fringe. You can find it in this post on my blog: http://stampwithdiane.blogspot.com/2...cy-fringe.html

VIDEO TUTORIAL: One Punch Three Ways
My most recent Video Tutorial that's not on this list is how to use the 5 Petal Flower Punch to 3 different ways (standard plus two more).
You can find it here. I missed this week's Turn it On Tuesday due to a death in the family back home. Stamper Dog has taken me aside and given me a scolding for spending so much time on Alaska Airlines flights lately that I had to promise to get back to stampin' right away! He was pretty busy planning the next tutorials. I hope you drop back by & enjoy them too! |

Thanks for the great tutorial links. I could spend days just surfin' the blogs. Becky |
This is not so much a tutorial as a photo journal of a presentation I attended over the weekend by a demonstrator friend, the amazing Laura Barto, but I thought people might want to see what can be done with the new SU decor elements and how they can be applied "off the wall". Scroll to the middle of the post to see photos and description of the application process.

Good (early) morning ladies,
I have been so busy with work lately, I have been lax on my website. So I kind of "cheated". Since there is SO much enormous talent here, I linked a couple of your techniques to my site and mentioned your names. I thoroughly love reading all your ideas and learning more and more each day! Keep up the great work everyone! |

Help! I'm fairly new to stamping and love this thread ty ty ty . Can anyone help with details on how to do the bandana technique background? I saw several beautiful cards using this technique from TLNL but no description of what they used :( inks and daubers? pastels and sponge? I recently purchased teh Wanted stamp set and would love to use this background technique. I have the stamps and the white gel pen for the dots now just the background technique would make my day. This is a sample of the background i'm looking for info about. http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/.../photo/1004006

Hawk, the bandana tech. is from technique junkies which is subscription newsletters. If you are interested go to www.patstamps.com and check it out. It's coming out in this month's newsletter.

Hawk, the background looks like it could be done with sponging or daubing ink onto your cardstock before stamping. Or even a brayer technique.
Here are my the two newest tutorials on my blog: http://angelstamper2.blogspot.com/20...ox-in-bag.html http://angelstamper2.blogspot.com/20...-tutorial.html |
Just posted my Glossy Ghost technique as used in my convention 2008 swap in my gallery and on my blog:
http://createdbyu.blogspot.com/2008/...2008-swap.html Have fun with it! |
WOW - what a fantastic card that you have made!
Happy Stamping and Scrapping rita |
There is a technique using the corner rounder from SU! to make a border of xxx's. I love doing this but can't find who came up with the idea. It was a video tutorial that showed how to do xxx border. Can the creator please stand up? I've been giving Paula Goff the credit for this border, but when I went looking for it on her blog, it wasn't there. I would like to give credit where it rightfully belongs.
Thanks in advance. |

Thanks, gigs. I'm so glad you knew what I was talking about. I love using this border as an element on a card. http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...00&ppuser=4048 I have been looking for the creator of the corner rounder criss cross for about 5-6 months; and even though I check out Cambria's blog regularly, I didn't run accross it after the first time. Thank you again, gigs. Now proper credit can be given to Cambria. |
