Last week I saw a tutorial on using Copic for haircolor...she said she would do a brunette this week but can't find it. It says Copic Haircolor by Ria. Can anyone point me in the right direction??

Is this what you are after? It was in the latest SCS Weekly Inkling newsletter.

Kduff 02-13-2010 05:58 PM

Yep that's the one, it was really quite easy to do, as usual colour coordination is the hardest LOL

You're welcome. I nearly fell out of my chair when I saw how easy these are to make and how much moola I could save! It leaves more money for stamps and paper right?

Mothermark 02-24-2010 05:36 PM

I am not a big tutorial person.....as far as making them...but I did make a video tutorial on my blog on how I make my cloud backgrounds....so if that comes in handy for you...here it is....

Paula, (or anyone) Thank you for this cool tip, but, I have never used glue dots, do they really stick the papers/cardstock together well ? With it being "tacky glue", I wasn't sure. I generally use double sided tape

The are terrific for sticking down a flower, button or any embellishment. I use them for my bows too. I think tape works well for holding down paper unless it's a little punched piece then I'd use the glue dots.

I usually would not use a glue dot for sticking card stock or two pieces of paper together. I use them to adhere things like bows, buttons, bling, prima/silk flowers. It is much quicker to do this than wait for glue to dry on a project.
Standard double sided tape doesn't work as well on these types of applications. Does this make sense?

trulyblessed 02-26-2010 02:23 PM

Thank you....I wondered...

Thank you for this fantastic idea! I've just ordered some of the glue to make my own. Good quality glue dots are incredibly expensive here in Australia. I just paid $13  for a roll last week!!

Tried buying cheaper ones that are supposed have a strong hold but they are useless & not very strong. Ever watched someone pull your lovely, handmade card out of it's envelope leaving some of the embellies behind?

I've lined envies before but never thought of embossing the flaps!

Thanks I will check out the bookmarks also.

Hi ladies! I tried to post my tutorials under the techniques section, and the moderator deleted it because it was a link to my blog...but since all of you have done that here, I think I'm safe.

I have a few tutorials up on my blog that I just updated today :)

Hi all...just wanted to share a tutorial for making this embossed background (and easel card). Very simple and no embossing folders. Check it out. http://pugnaciousstamps.blogspot.com...rite-tool.html

Have a great day!

Here is a new video tutorial I just uploaded on how to make your own twinkling H2O watercolor paint. Enjoy!

JoBear2, I feel for you over there so far away and in the middle of the ocean. I am shipping a crop a dile and big bite over to another Aussie and the shipping is over $30! I guess $52 bucks total for these with shipping is a deal if you are paying $19 for a box of glue dots. Please pass the word so that other people may save.
