ribbon pom pom

I have seen ribbon pom poms on cards and they are beautiful. I know there was a tutotial, but it was deleted due to unfavorable comments. Shame on you all! Does anyone know how to make these? Need them for a cheerleading fundraiser.

Thanks :)

scoring help

Novice here! Just made my first dozen nugget boxes, my scores were messed up. This keeps happening to me, maybe getting too old to see! I use the larger fiskers (24.00$) cutter/scorer. What do you use? Hard to see anything that is scored at 18th of an inch! Thinking about buying the scorepal.???

Thanks for your imput.
Jill

bluegirl 10-10-2009 06:13 AM

I have taken and put lil marks on mine so i know where the measurements are I used some white type of paint and sealed it with clear nail polish only on one end of the cutter I even took a permanent marker in black and used that to mark the spots that I use mosst to see them better . I do not have a scorepal but I hear great reviews about them I have all the ahndy me downs from one of my friends that trys out all the new gadgets LOL

I just posted a tutorial about how to layer/mask digital images in Paint.net on my blog. It's pretty easy and I made a lot of screenshots ;)

Nice job on your Paint.net tutorial, Alica. It's clear and easy to follow. This looks like it would be a free alternative for someone who doesn't already have another graphics program.

I LOVE your avatar! Your precious dogs are absolutely adorable! I have a yellow lab and a black lab. They are the BEST dogs! Now I want a chocolate or a white one ;-) But, I think only 2 at a time is my realistic limit. One is quite elderly however, so before long we will likely adopt another.
Anyway- I just wanted to tell you how great I think that picture is :-)

YES, they are wonderful friends to have! Mine are also getting up in years, black one is 11 1/2 and the chocolate one is 11, the yellow one is my daughters' and she is 6 (she is now living with her human)! THANKS!!

These are absolutely adorable! I'll have to make one to see if they will be easy enough for my 11 year old grandson to make.

Here is a project and step by step tutorial of the new fabric adhesive in the Creatopia machine from Xyron....love it!

A couple of weeks ago I saw a Singing Reindeer card by Amy Celona. Decided I had to make one too. Then it was such a big hit with my Stampin' Up! customers when I showed it at Workshop, that everyone wanted a tutorial.

So here it is:

DON'T BUY A SCOREPAL -- it is a literal piece of crap. I sent mine to someone else.

Buy a SCOREIT, instead. You'll be much happier, easy to use, and I'd buy the optional ruler keeps things straight even at the bottom of a page. I love my SCOREIT (http://www.scorit.com/) and use it every day!

Tell them Loretta sent you!

Well I love, love, love my Scor-pal, but I guess to each her own, whatever works for you! Sort of like cutters, my friends and I, all love different cutters and have to laugh, that some of us can't use the others cutters.
So, if you can, try them both, I guess, and decide ehat works for you!

lindylou1220 10-21-2009 01:57 AM

I just want to offset Loretta's post by saying that I love my ScorPal and I know many others who feel the same way.

Another Scor pal fan here. Love the scor pal!

Have a mini scorit and attempted to use it once haven't touched it again!

Maria, great project..........I love it!

GrammaM 10-21-2009 07:06 AM

I love my score pal too, although I have to admit that I haven't tried anything else. It is nice to make multiple scores without moving the paper.
