Thanks ladies for the comments on my stamp a majig tutorial. That is a tutorial I wanted to do for a long time, but I needed to get into the video era to do it -- pictures are hard to do the process justice.

I have an extensive folder of templates I have created over the years and I refer to them whenever I have the need. After many requests, I decided to start creating templates to share on the web. In the past I just traced my template onto card stock and that is how I shared my templates. Let me know if you have any questions about this. I hope it is easy to understand.
I got tired of buying those little jars of flowers for 9.99 at the big craft stores. I had to make 200 wedding favors and decided to make my own flowers. See how I did it HERE.

I added dimensions and short instructions to the template. This thread won't let me change my post, so check out the updated template on another thread I started which does allow me to edit and change.
DAG!!
Just wanted to say hello and to let you know that I lived in your beautiful country along with my little daughter in 1974-75. We lived in Middelburg and have fond memories of our time there. Would love to come over sometime especially this time of year to see Keukenhof's beautiful gardens. :-D
I wish someone could help me find the site that has a lady with short grey hair and a quirky sense of humor sitting at a table doing a series of stamping project videos. It was one of my favorites and I can't find it again. If I knew what it was I might just list it. Has anyone else seen something like this?
I know Smooch is a Clearsnap product, but the website does not really describe what the product is. The website was no help in describing it nor it's uses or how to apply it.
Is this Smooch product similar to a paint and applied to one's project in that fashion? It appears to be in bottles rather similar to nail polish.

I had the same question, because I saw a project that used Smooch on Flowersoft, and it didn't look like anything different to me!

it comes in a nail polish like bottle, but it's nothing like a paint, glaze or polish. it's opaque with a pearlized finish. it dries very fast on paper or porous surfaces.
the brush -well really more of an applicator tip, is fairly rigid and comes to a nice sharp pointy tip so you can really get in tiny places. but if you use it on it's side, you can cover larger areas.
it also mixes and blends BEAUTIFULLY, so you can add shading to your project too - but use one of those beauty applicator thingies (like a q-tip but it has a sharp point) or clean your brush well before redipping it into the bottle.
clearsnap is in the process of updating their site, i think there are supposed to be some project up soon.

WOW, WOW, WOW! I am not sleeping tonight!
Thank you for sharing Mel's blog with us!
Thanks Mel, this is the best information I have ever received about the Cuttlebug.
I love these tutorials! However, I have a question. Could someone point me to a video tutorial that shows how to ink around the edges? When I try to do it, it comes out too sharp and I'd like the soft, blending type of inking.
Does this make sense? I want to start to do that but right now I'm not happy with my results. Does anyone have a tutorial on this? I imagine this seems basic but for a newbie, nothing is basic!!

What are you using to ink your edges with? If it is the ink pad you won't get that blended look it will be sharp. Try the yellow sponges...or my favorite make up sponges. It's all about the sponge. You probably aren't doing anything wrong!
I use the Stampin' Up! daubers inked with the ink pad. This link shows what I am referring to. http://andreawalford.com/?p=672
Andrea is showing a Josephs Coat tutorial, but pics show the dauber and ink pad. You get the idea. Just use the daubers on the edge of the card stock. Hope it helps.
