Well I happened upon this thread when I was going to look for some ideas about using copics but this looked interesting I have the glue sticks, and I have the alcohol ink that I've never opened-why did I buy it I DON"T KNOW maybe to make dew drops. I think I'll have to get something that I can make some dew drops on, and go for it. Thanks

Rabbit Model Template

I don't know if this is any good for an Easter project, could be adapted to be a gift box, maybe cut a small hole in the top and fill with sweets? Two versions, one with detail and one without.

Faux Frosting Tutorial

Adding frosting to your cupcakes is always yummy! But adding them to your cupcakes on cards is even yummier! Heres a quick tutorial on how to add faux frosting to your cards or scrapbooks. This frosting can also be used for snow on your winter projects as well.

You can see the tutorial on my blog HERE.

The tutorial for the ribbon blossoms was unfortunately removed. Are there any other posts with directions for this?

stamps&cars 03-20-2009 06:38 PM

This isn't the tut you were looking for is it? At least this one hasn't been removed.
http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...ribbonblossom/ It is was in the resources area.

snowcountry311 03-20-2009 07:18 PM

but this is the same as what was "removed"
same poster & everything

mhowe 03-20-2009 09:11 PM

It is the same poster and creator of the technique. The only thing I notice is that the ribbon used is different from the original tutorial.

Hi everyone,

I love to make 3D scenes on my cards. I posted a tutorial on a store blog I design for on how to make 3D fairy tale scenes on cards. This is my first tutorial so hopefully it's easy to follow. I in no way created this technique, I have just been asked by several people how I create these scenes and I wanted to show step by step how I personally do it. You can see the tutorial here:

http://heartsandhugz.blogspot.com/20...ing-three.html

I'd love to hear what you think.

Hugs, Christine :)

If you want a really cheap non stick sheet... I've been using "Reynolds Non-Stick Foil" ever since the company came out with the great stuff... I have poured my UTEE and used hot glue and embossed on it, and stuff just lifts right off. I too have a small non stick sheet from Ranger I bought before Non Stick Foil came out. I find I'm am using the non stick foil more.
I think the dew drops made with the hot glue is awesome. I too love to craft on the frugal side when I can. Thanks for sharing.

kowanetz 03-22-2009 12:11 PM

Cool ideas - I'm gonna try making my own dew drops and glue dots, and the pearl ex I'll absolutely have to try!

Basic quilled shapes

I was looking over my posts the other day on my blog and in all the time I've been giving tutorials I haven't ever given the basics of quilling. The shapes are very important in all the quilling you do. So here's a copy for you to use as reference and to practice. This will help you on future projects and tutorials I have for you.

That box from Nicholes' blog is so easy, so fast, and gets rave reviews and you can use it for so many things! AND I made a three tiered wedding cake with boxes (different sizes) for a wedding thingy I was doing and everyone was gaga for the boxes! Thanks Nichole for sharing such a fun project!

Can you give the link to the blog? I don't know how to find what you're referring to. Thanks!
