I used the stazon reinker in a plastic bag. Tried the SU reinkers but they came out blotchy. Also used the copic markers when I wrote my grandkids names and they worked great. The tutorial calls for alcohol ink reinker, but I did not have any.
7 of my 13 grandkids were over yesterday and had a great time writing their names with glue (with adult help) and coloring them with my precious copic markers.
I tried some with Ranger inks, and they came out a bit spotchy. I put about 10 in the bag. Gonna try again. Maybe certain colors take better or it was too many ???
No dust them with earl ex when they are still on the mat, let them cool first or you will have a very gluey brush...don't ask me how I know that LOL!
I use glue dots to adhere these to my CS. And I make my own glue dots too. Use Aleene's Tack-It Over & Over glue. Put dots of glue on wax paper (I saved my backing from store-bought glue dots and reused it). Leave to dry for 1-1 1/2 hours and they work just like the "real" ones.
Need to save those $$$$ for the important purchases like Cricut, Nesties, ;) ;)

I have heard of doing this with silicone glue you can buy from like Home Depot or Lowes but I haven't tried it because I didn't know the exact type of glue to buy. Has anyone tried this?
All of these ideas are just awesome! I am pretty new to all of this so I didnt even know dew drops exisited but wow they are perrrrty! I am going to have to make some since I have glue gun that I never use. I gotta go buy some alcohol ink though!

Sillicone will dry, I think you need the Tack it over & over again. For thoes who tried this where did you get it?
The Tack it over & over can be bought at Michaels in the glue section. I have that but I just wasn't sure about the stuff you can buy from Lowes and how it worked. I'm gonna try the Tack it over and see how it works.
To make the glue dots, I was told to use only the Tack it Over glue. I do this ALL the time and they work GREAT. Have never purchased another glue dot (large or small). I just make them the size I want.
Now to try and make the dew drops.....

I colored some I made with assorted markers, some turned out fabulous (mostly metallic markers) and some didn't (some colors were splotchy) but hey! It was fun, and cost like nothing! I'll be trying other things with these, too. Gotta say, love the glitter ones!
Well I needed some pink microbeads last week end but only had clear. Then I remembered your tutorial and used 2 drops of cranberry alchol ink and 1/2 a vial of clear micro beads and they turned out great! I like the color better than the pink ones they sell at the store.

What a fantastic idea!!! I love this idea of coloring the beads, too!!
I'm trying to find an easy apron card templete. Does anyone know where I can get one. I found one on splitcoast but it seems like alot of steps. Thanks in advance and Happy Stamping!

Shauna,
I found this one....It might give you some inspiration
Thought I would share one more step by step for making a scene card. I've been having fun with these lately. I know they're not everyone's cup o' tea but I like them. It's for this card. Look here for the rest. Thanks for looking!

Wow! Thank you for sharing. They are wonderful. However, your step by step would be my trip and fall! I can't even draw a stick figure to save my life! I admire your work.

In response to the "Crocheting your own Fleurettes" thread this week, I've uploaded the directions and step-by-step photos for making these mini rosebuds. Here is a link: Crochet Patterns for Rosebuds, Roses, and Leaves.

Thanks for this! I have been meaning to dig out my crochet hooks and thread...they have been sadly neglected since I discovered stamping. This is a great way to combine my two favorite hobbies!
I was thinking that i needed to ask my mom to make me some of these since she is an expert at crochet but maybe i will try my own. Thanks so much for the awesome directions!

Lynnor -- I know exactly what you mean. I had fun picking up the crochet hooks again.

Kim -- So far, I'm the only one who has tried my directions. If you decide to make them, I hope you'll report back on how it goes.
Totally going to try this...guess i need to find some alcohol ink first though...hmmm...I'll experiment with what I have first though. Thanks for all the great ideas!!
I am so anxious to be making all those wonderful cards. I am so impressed with all your tutorials and a bit jealous. So far I am just good at buying things to make cards. I do have a question though. I want to send a money order or a gift card for a birthday gift. Does anyone know where I can find instructions for a cut little card for such an occasion? Please keep sharing your wonderful creations for gals like me who are in need of inspriation and help.
