I just tried the napkin transfer and using the "no-name" brand of plastic wrap did not work, it would not melt even on high LOL so, I ripped apart a cheap brand of baggie and it worked great. What brand of plastic wrap works for you?

Plastic and freezer paper NEVER worked for me....ever......so I gave up and used a sewing product called Stitch Witchery and it works wonderful.

other then that, I just measure the candy bar and make a rectangular piece of paper that fits the candy bar, and that is a little bit longer on one side so that I have an overhang on one side to adhere the wrapper together.
I also have a a picture of some halloween-chocolatebars on my blog, but I don't have any tutorial for them. But if you want to see anyways, here's the link: http://legojenta.blogspot.com/2008/0...wo-things
What a cute idea for a young male gift, they being the hardest to make for. Thank you. But, I am curious as to why you used 2 different adhesives when folding the front & back together?
OK - I guess I have to admit that I'm a bit of an adhesive snob. I don't like things to come apart. SNAIL works fine for me....except when there's an opposing force (like ribbon under it) or a heavy piece you're trying to put on your card (like a multi layered focal point).
I could've put Sticky Strip all the way down the side, but was trying to conserve it. When I demonstrate, I try to show people how to get the best outcome with the least investment. (Like saving ribbon by tying your bow while the ribbon is on the bolt) Use quality products conservatively is better than buying cheaper stuff and using a ton of it.
I received a card like the Double Pocket one in my Video Gallery that was made out of SNAIL adhesive. It didn't stay together. That's why I show that with Sticky Strip.
Make sense? But honestly....I was just short of Sticky Strip....or thought I was until I found another role!
Thanks for this great technique! I quickly watched it yesterday, but now I want to try it, it says the usual "this video is no longer available" frustrating! will keep trying.
That is a common problem with YouTube videos. Do a refresh of the page and the video should play again.

Thanks, but actually, here we are 3 days later and still get the error message, have cleaned cookies & temp fles too. Did some googling on it and seems to be a variety of reasons. I did see it once and tried it so all is good.
Thanks to legojento for giving me videos and idea for candy wrapper. I know my thanks is late but I was busy making 20+ wrappers for a baby shower. Thanks again, K
You guys have GOT to see the new video tutorial by Dawn Griffith. Wow! Making icicles for Christmas cards and scrapbook pages. It's reeeeeally neat. Here's the link: http://dawnsstampingthoughts.typepad...g-icicles
Anyone seen a video on how to decorate the glass blocks. I have seen how to drill the hole and add the lights, but how do you add the pictures and decorations so the light shines through? Also see them with colors??? Help I would like to make one for my Sister in law for thanksgiving but not sure how to add the design.... I have the block, lights, but cannot figure out how to attach and what to coat with so they last.... Help..... Please
I did mine by printing a graphic on full sheet decal paper (it is adhesive so sticks) I sprayed the paper before putting it on with a clear spray coat from WalMart. You could also use clear decal paper for a more translucent look. - here is a pic http://s11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...GlassBlock.jpg
If you want to stamp on it, I can't help you there sorry.

I tried this last night and it turned out stunningly. I did have a tiny bit of a problem "peeling" it off the wax paper. I used InKssentials Glossy Accents which could have been my problem which was the icicles broke as I peeled them off. (I paid close attention to Dawn's instruction to be careful) They were a bit less pliable than I thought. But, I've placed these pieces on top of a navy blue card stock and oolala! Will definitely do this in the future! Thanks Alicesue Thanks for blessing my day!

Had a thought ... yes, I do have them from time to time. Hee hee! Instead of using waxed paper, maybe try using parchment. This may make it easier to remove the icicles. Now, I haven't tried mine, yet, so not sure if this will help. But, when I do make some, I'm going to use parchment. I'll let you all know how that works out.
I'll be the card on navy cardstock is fabulous. What a contrast and set off the icicles really terrifically. Would love to see your card. Any chance of a pic?
We did this card in one of my September 2007 Christmas Card classes (I do a series of Jingle stacks starting each September.)
Here's a hint to keep some sanity around all that bling! Shake off the excess glitter from your icicles over the kitchen sink b4 mounting them. That will help make clean up WAY easier....especially if you have a sprayer on your sink.
Of course, you want to salvage as much glitter as you can to reuse, but do it over or near the sink.
Another good thing about this layout is that if it breaks, you may be able to hide it behind the focal point.
I saw a video tutorial of a version of the Boxy Bag done with a sheet of DSP and only folding. I did not bookmark it, does anyone know who the creative talent behind that tutorial is?
Thx a bunch
I have to try this, nice effect; and may try the parchment baking paper

I posted a small tutorial on my blog the other day. I use so many of your great ideas I thought I should share one too! It's nothing near the quality or as idea starting as all of your great tutorials but it's a start! I hope you enjoy mine as much as I enjoy yours!!
TFL!
I have been inspired by all the tutorials on this thread. I think I've bookmarked almost every one and had to create a new folder so I could find them more easily. Anyway, I made a little tutorial on these really pretty Medallion flowers I first saw on a Martha Stewart Show and have since seen them all over the place on web blogs. Some please come by and take a look. Medallion Flowers Tutorial
Kristen, your link to the Medallion Flowers Tutorial doesn't work for me, but your My blog link does, and I love what you have done with the flowers. Your Halloween nuggets are absolutely darling too. Oh yes and I really like your Halloween cards. TFS
