Default New "tool" to use for DIY designer/background paper

I worked on a video today (finally after about two years of no videos), and did a tutorial on using a "new" tool to make your own designer/background paper. What is this new "tool?" A wine cork : ) And yes, it works really well. Here is the video:

Hubby got me a new camera for xmas and now I can finally get back to doing videos! Will be uploading a video of my craft area (when I am done filming) and then also the Melted Crayon Technique (that one will take me a bit to get done).

Would love to know what you think of the card/technique in the video : )

Nice video. I wish I could line up my layers as evenly and as neatly as you. I also like the tip about adding the clue to a craft stick and then dabbing it onto the element. Wonderful idea!

I look forward to more of your tutorials!

Loved your tutorial. I seldom make my own background paper, but your tutorial inspires me to give it another try.

Lovely card you made with the technique.

Thank you ladies, the layers are lined up neatly because of the Perfect Layers tool, broke down and bought it, best purchase I have made (still a bit of a learning curve with them though). And making your own background paper can be very easy with any stamp, it is just a matter of putting the right colors and placement together. The card was fun to make, my son gave me the stamp for Christmas and I am loving how I can use it so many different ways : ) Will be working on more videos soon : )

lol I told my husband we need more wine so I can continue to make cards, he almost believed me : )

It really is an easy technique, today I even used some paint with the cork and that came out nice as well, though it was a bit harder to get the paint on the stamp, but I did : ) Also, this works with any image stamp (line or solid), and also colors (today I tried red and gold).

Would love to see what you all come up with : )

Default Whoa, right up my alley!

Love this!
And we have lots of corks for sure.
Beautiful background.
Am going to try this soon.
Thanks for sharing.

What a great idea! My "cork wreath" will have to wait a little longer!
