Ink Blend a Galaxy
Hi I'm here to share a YouTube video tutorial of how to create a very realistic galaxy background for your cards/projects. Many people who have watched this tutorial told me it was very helpful so I'd like to share it here.

On a piece of A2 sized white cardstock, blend in Ranger distress inks in the following order: Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot (You can use other colors depending on what you want in your galaxy) 2. Spritz some water to create bleaching effect 3. Mix white acrylic paint and water. Use tooth brush to flick stars onto the background. Then use a paint brush to flick bigger stars. Let dry 4. Use a moon stamp to stamp out a moon with silver ink. Die cut it out and mount with foam tape For more comprehensive steps and step-by-step video tutorial. Please refer to my blog and my Youtube. Thank you! |
GORGEOUS!!!!
I replaced your YouTube link with the embed code - on YouTube, just click share > embed > copy & paste that code into your post. You are doing GREAT getting to know the site! I love this - the use of the soot really makes a big difference - I had been using navy and I like yours a LOT better. I have that moon stamp - I need to give this a try. Thank you! |
PS if you ever want to do a tutorial for us (for the tutorials section & newsletter) - let me know!
