Default TLC761 ~ Flip Flap Card ~ {09/23/2019}

Happy Monday to you all!
I've gone very easy with my previous couple of challenges, so today it's time for a fun fold. I've been wanting to try the Flip Flap Card ever since it was in the Weekly Inkling back in July. Well, July was pretty busy and August was absolutely manic for me, but once things quietened down just a little earlier this month, I made time to try it out. It was actually much easier than I was expecting - so I hope you'll give it a go. Schools are back, it's getting colder outside for us in the Northern hemisphere, and hopefully we've got more time indoors for crafting.

The tutorial is HERE, both written version with photos and a video for those who prefer,

and if you want to check out the Technique Spotlight gallery for it, you can do so here: Technique Spotlight: Flip Flap Cards

Here's a link to our TLC761 Flip Flap Cards gallery

Here's my card:TLC761 Flappy Birdie to You

Remember to use the keyword TLC761 when you are uploading. It's helpful (to the hostesses for sure!) if you come back and leave a link on this thread. And be sure to upload your card to the Technique Spotlight gallery to add to the library of inspiration. Choose Technique Spotlight from the first drop-down menu, and Flip Flap Cards from the second.

If you're not sure how to link your card on the thread here, here's how:

1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one window for your card and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.

I did one for the tutorial, but wasn't pleased with it so hopefully I'll do better this time! Not sure when I'll get to it, but will try this week sometime. Your sample is adorable!

Yep, I saw from the gallery that a few people had already tried it, including you of course, but not that many. I found it helpful looking at the gallery because I couldn't do a themed one like the fabulous sample.

It generally takes me two or three goes to get the feel for a new fold; the first time I'm concentrating more on the mechanics, when I understand those I can focus more on the decorative side.

I bought the classic label punch after doing the first one with word window punch, so now I can try using that too!

Here is the front of my card and here is the inside.
I agree, it's hard to come up with a design when your not sure of the mechanics. Fun challenge.

Got mine finished. I haven't been loving my work lately. Its taking way too long to make decisions! I started with other DSP, but ended up with this.
