Default TLC695 ~ Embossed Washi Background ~ 6/18/18

Well, it is the third Monday of the month (the month of June - gah! can you believe it?) and it is my turn to challenge you...

If you are like me, and I'd be willing to bet many of you are, you have a drawer/box/basket full of washi tape. I mean, I can't seem to stop buying it even though I already own more than I can ever use

I have a new take on another technique that I kind of spiced up - think something like the Herringbone technique, or any other technique where you use strips of paper, and replace it with washi. Win-win in that you use your, washi, you get a great background, and it is already sticky...

OK! Go grab 3 or 4 rolls of coordinating washi and a piece of paper cut to the size you need for your project (I used 5.5"X4.25" cardstock but printer paper is also fine.)

Now randomly (or in a pattern - your choice) line up the washi on your paper. THEN - and this is my favorite part, go get one of your embossing folders (I admit it - I have a problem with these too. I just can't resist them!)

Emboss your panel, color up your image, and get the pieces you need to put together your card...

That's all there is to it. It it is so fun, and so cute, and when you don't have designer paper to match your card, you can just make it!

Just HAVE FUN with it!!

TLC695 - It was fun to use my washi tapes, was not able to do the embossing though, as it would have been too busy looking. Great Challenge today!

DD9ABC17Q - Quartz Grey is my color for last week. This was a hard color to do!!

Heart TLC695 pen and ink

for today's challenge I used my washi tape for this challenge, adding texture with embossing. Employed the cling wrap technique for my stamped elements including my distressed sentiment panel. Here's pen and ink
