Hello everyone! Lets get crafting! Today I am featuring a technique that was just one of the recently added tutorials here on Splitcoaststampers. It is Die Cut Stenciling. I am sure by now you know that I am totally in LOVE with backgrounds. I also like to utilize my crafting tools to their fullest potential. So, this week I would like to see you all making your own stencils and creating a beautiful background for your cards or projects.
This technique involves taking a single die and cutting out a piece of cardstock in a way that creates a pattern. You know that most stencils are made from plastic or acetate. You can use plastic or acetate and create a stencil for your collection or you can do like I do and just create something I use once or twice and pitch it. Totally up to you!
This technique was originally featured in the tutorial section here on Splitcoaststampers by Korin (SweetnSassyStamps). Thanks Korin for such a fun technique.
I hope you all enjoy making your own stencils. I cannot wait to see what you make!
Have a great summer and I will see you again in August! Judy (StampingQueenJAR) will be doing my July Technique while I am off to Florida with my little Bean. Enjoy the sunshine!!!

Jenn, I didn't use a diecut, but I used the crop-a-dile II to make my stencil. Would it still count for this challenge? I was having second thoughts and didn't want to add the keyword, if it wouldn't work. Here is my card. Thanks, Irene
Super-fun! I have to admit that I wasn't taking great care when I cut my chevrons on Staurday night, because I hadn't been planning to use the negative!! So they're slightly crooked relative to each other. But this discarded negative sitting on the floor by my Big Shot was just SO perfect to use today. TLC484 A Rainbow to Dance In
I think I'll see if I can make a permanent one out of something a bit sturdier...

What a fun challenge today, Jenn. I made a stencil by running a couple of sizes of my Spellbinder's star dies through the machine a few times. Can't wait to browse the gallery!
Finally got to sit down & play! Fun but involved challenge! The tassel on the popped up cap actually lines up & looks ok in real life! Here is my card. TFL!
