Default TLC475~Three Tier Card~ {3/31/14}

Hello all you wonderful crafters. Hope you are ready to put your creativity to work today. I have a really fun card that is not only a delight to make but would be so much fun to receive!

Today we are going to make a 3 Tier Slider card. I have all the dimensions below. Follow the measurement carefully and you will be on your way to making a fun active card!

Please be sure to use the KEYWORD TLC475 when uploading your cards.

Gallery for TLC475 Three Tier Slider Cards

Here is my sample: Imagine The Possibilities

Dimensions:

2 pieces of scratch paper that are: 1/2" x 3" for the slider.

Top Layer: Cut your paper 3" x 9 3/8" scored at 3 1/8" and 6 3/8"

Middle Layer: Cut your paper 3 3/8" x 10 1/4" scored at 3 3/8" and 6 7/8"

Also, after you score, you will end up with 3 sections. On one of the side sections (doesn't matter which) measure down from the top 3/8" and make 2 cuts that are 1.5 inches apart and that run perpendicular to the score lines (side by side). Make sure you center these cuts in the middle of the section too.

Bottom Layer: Cut your paper 4.5" x 11 5/8" scored at 3 7/8" and 7 3/4"

Also, after you score, you will end up with 3 sections. On one of the side sections (doesn't matter which) measure down from the top 5/8" and make 2 cuts that are 2.5" long and are centered in the middle of the section with 1 3/4" apart.

Once all of these measurements are cut and scored you are now ready to assemble your card.

Cruising You Tube:

Three Tier Sliding Card - YouTube

Not a fun video to watch, but I gleaned a little from it. Good to see how it goes together.

Since we have a similar tutorial in Resources that means we have a special gallery in Technique Spotlight called Triple Tier Slider Card . So if you play along with Jenn's super fun challenge this week, why not upload your card to that gallery!!

People often cruise those fixed galleries for inspiration and if your card isn't uploaded to that gallery it won't show in the technique gallery. Simply choose Technique Spotlight from the Main Gallery dropdown list, and Triple Tier Slider from the sub-gallery dropdown options.

Of course it will always show in the challenge gallery once you've used the keyword .
No worries on that front!!

I did it and it was fun...Y*u g* Girl

Glad you were able to locate the source of your linking difficulties, Jenn.
This was a delightful card even as it was labor intensive. Future ones I
am sure will come together much easier. Thank you for challenging me
to try the tri...

I think I may give this a shot. I think it would be cool with a built in easel. I don't have the TH Easel die. Do any of you know where there might be a pattern?

Housework and ringing my dad last night meant I didn't get the last finishing touches put to this till today.
Thanks, Jenn - it was fun! And this one turned out a LOT better than my first attempt a few years back, even if I felt I was right back at the start of the learning curve all over again. The moral behind that is not to leave it so long before I try another one .

Funny you mention Mothermark, Sabrina, I had her on my mind when I made it. Since there is no destination for this yet, I should send it to her!
