Thanks lynn for the drying advice. It finally dried so I was able to finish the card. Its not the most creative card because I only had two reinkers, but the most important thing for me was learning to do the technique. Now that I did it, and love it, I'll be buying more reinkers and getting more creative next time. Thanks for the great challenge. Heres my card: http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...4942?si=TLC181

You could place it by a fan, just as long as you don't let it go flying off (weight a non-stamped part down with something) otherwise you might be peeling if off one of your walls.
Just another little tidbit or my two cents, whatever that might be worth. hehe.. I cut my acetate first, stamped my image and then "painted" it. so it was drying while i was cutting the rest of my papers. I also think a thin lay will do the trick and less trying time. hope that helps some.

OMgosh was this so fun! Thanks for a great challenge! I have to admit, this was my second try, and due to my Crystal Effects being a little thick, I tried to be consistent in how I colored these petals...kinda look textured?

Can I admit that I'm not patient enough for this one though? I HATED waiting for the "paint" to dry!!

After much thinking about this technique I have decided to try it. I am waiting on my colors to dry and so far it hasn't been as difficult as I expected. I hope to post it later tonight. Thanks Lynn for a different type of challenge and something to make us procrastinators "go for the gold"!

Default TLC181 Stained Glass Zinnias

Finally!!! Here is my labor of love for today:

Stained Glass Zinnias

I took the plunge after all and gave it a try. It wasn't as difficult as I anticipated but took a lot of time. I probably didn't put the color on as thick as I should but for the first time, I think it turned out ok. I tried to keep it as simple as possible and I just got this stamp in the mail today from CHF and thought it would be perfect. tfl and as always I appreciate your comments!!!

What a fun technique. I wasn't sure I was going to pull it off, but I like the final result. I had to photograph it from the side because the first time my flash distorted the picture. Here's my initial try at this technique, which I think I will try again -- http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...0&ppuser=72594

Thanks, Lynn, for a brand new technique for me.

Cool technique! I took a slightly different sequence and have stamped and painted a page of acetate, so I will size my frame later after it is dry . . . and then I'll pick the better part to cut out. I think this will turn out great! Off to gaze the gallery . . .

I love this technique!! Finally tonight, I finished my card. The acetate was still wet last night, and this afternoon still left a bit of color when I flipped it over on a piece of paper. I love how it looks, but plan ahead when you want to use this technique.

Yes, that is what I used. Glossy Accents, Crystal Effect are just brand names of the same product (as far as I can tell).
