TLC179 - Blintz Base
1 Attachment(s)
A Blintz Base is a type of fold in origami, and today we are going to borrow it for our cards. It is perfect for two sided designer papers!

Check out our inspiration from Cook22:
Blintz Base

Cook22 also has shared the directions here:
Blintz Base Directions

Attached is Cook22's directions in .pdf form. (thanks girls!)

I am honouored - thanks, Beth.
Here's the PDF file, and also a little picture of one I made back in 2006. I don't know why it's so tiny - I think I must have uploaded it from Photbucket after a PC crash, when I lost a few images that weren't on a proper back-up CD.

dawnmercedes 07-28-2008 06:05 AM

cool and fun!

Stampingdeedee 07-28-2008 06:11 AM

Looks like a fun challenge. I will be trying it later today.

cindy501 07-28-2008 06:12 AM

OK, immediately had to grab a square and try the fold. I don't have time to make a finished card now but thougt this was a fabulous idea. I will practice it and come up with a project for my weekly card club. Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful idea with us.

bsgstamps4fun 07-28-2008 06:20 AM

This is very different and would like to give it a try. Thanks for the challenge!

KY Southern Belle 07-28-2008 06:25 AM

Wow. I've never done this. I'm working right now, but will hopefully be able to stop around noon or so. I hope I can pull this one off! It sounds like a great challenge though. I don't know about the rest of you, but when I don't participate in the challenges, I seem to get stuck in a creative pit and realized that even more by participating in the Dirty Dozen challenges last week. When I wasn't able to participate in challenges for the past 3 or so weeks, I found myself just blah and doing partial casing rather than with a clean slate from my mind. Good luck everybody and I can't wait to see what you come up with! God bless your day.

beestamper 07-28-2008 06:26 AM
