Question Your card stock vote!

I am looking for other card stock options other than Stampin' up. Please let me know what you love. Papertrey Ink, My Favorite Things, Gina K., Simon Says Stamp, etc. I would prefer the cardstock to have coordinating inks. So give me your votes! Thanks so much!

i love A Muse Studio's cardstock, it's really smooth, the colors are fantastic and I love that one side is white so even if you use a dark cardstock the inside of your card is white.

I love cardstock from PTI and Simon Says Stamp. Although if I were starting over buying cardstock I would probably go with My Favorite Things cardstock and inks... the colors are so pretty!

I've tried several different kinds and have to say Gina K has the best Cardstock I've seen. unfortunately they are often out of stock of many colors and you can't buy a variety pack. You have to buy 25 peices of one color. The price is fairly reasonable but frankly I don't need 25 pieces of anything but basic colors

Almost all of my card stock is Papertrey. The rest is a few well-loved shades from Gina K and a small group of SU colors I also happen to like. PTI's palette suits me very well and the weight of the card stock is perfect - heavier than SU.

Another to add to the list is from Taylored Expressions. Great colors and a 100# weight.

MFT, Gina K and Papertrey Ink are my favs for really heavy cardstocks. I am also loving the NEW Hobby Lobby Heavyweight cardstocks for bases.

Another PTI fan here! I love their range of colors and the weight of the CS. Also love that I can buy an ink cube and reinker for $6.

Fun Stampers Jouney has good cardstock and inks to match. Their white is heavy.

Not too many choices here...Bazill, which I find soft and flimsy. I use 110lb. cardstock from Staples and Michael's 65lb. Recollections for my layering.

My vote is for PaperTrey Ink if I'm looking for colored cardstock. I love the coordinating ribbons - makes it so easy to color coordinate!

If you make a lot of cards like I do, the cost per sheet can add up quickly. PTI's cardstock is half the cost of Bazill's and SSS heavyweight paper and a little less than Gina K's cardstock.

For white, cream and black card bases, I'm happy with Hobby Lobby's heavy weight cardstock - they had it on sale just last week for 50% off which made the cost just under 10 cents per sheet.

PTI is my most-used cardstock. It is nice and heavy, priced better than SU or MFT (12-$3, 24-$5 and 50-$9-sheet packs), and free shipping with a $70 order. They have lighter-weight patterned paper to match each color cardstock, along with ink, felt, etc. There are also reward points to spend in the store as you wish.

MFT's cardstock is very nice, but quite expensive. The newer Prestige colors are in even smaller packs, $7 for 15 sheets instead of 25, so I will only buy it when there is a 25-30% off sale. They also offer free shipping at $75, and a % off if the order is over $100. They do have frequent sales.

I have a few colors of Gina K, but actually forget that I even own it, even though it is nice and heavy.

As for SU, I still have most of the colors from several years ago, before discovering buying photopolymer stamps online. After that, I pretty much quit even looking at SU stuff. The colored stock is a nice enough weight, but white and vanilla are too flimsy. I also got used to not paying shipping and didn't need demo support, so am using up what I have and won't be buying more.

Basically, the weight of the stock and the price make the decisions for me.

I love Gina K cardstock!! I know she is out of it a lot, but it's certainly worth the wait....and on her blog she just said she is making some changes, that will help the business, so hopefully part of that will be that things will be able to be in stock more once the changes come. However like I said, I think it's worth the wait! I'm still trying to afford all the colors, finally got all the ink...just still working on the cardstock. I'd have it, or most of it if it wasn't for that darn money issue!! LOL

I use Michael's Recollection 110# in white, ivory, and black for bases. $12.95/100sheets -- coupons can be used. I use Gina K., old stampin Up-- not buying any more, and special textures I often find at Tuesday mornings. I sometimes buy books of double sides designer papers; Especially holiday stuff. I have some hero arts colored with white inside. I am using the thin pattern papers I bought when I started out to make or line envelopes. I sometimes pick up colored heavy c/s at shows. One dealer has great stuff with no brand names.
When I dont have a color to match for layering and I just need a thin edge, I swipe the ink pad around the edge width I need and I'm good to go.

I have some GinaK (which I love for the base weight card bases) and all of the TE colors. Some SU (which I'm ready to ween out of my supplies b/c the weight is just not there, compared to the rest, when I run out... no more). I'm looking at all the luscious colors at My Favorite Things and think I'll gradually stock up on those.

Lawn Fawn just came out with cardstock that coordinates with their ink pads, card bases, and paper pads.

I use primarily PTI and MFT's. I watch for duplicate colors, they can come pretty close to one another. Gina K makes a decent cs too. If saving $ is your thing (and isn't it everyone's?), try the heavy weight cs from Michael's. Use the 50% coupon, and you can get a ream for less than $7. Can't beat that. I've started using it as my card bases (i.e. I don't try to color or wc on it). I used SU's for awhile, but abandoned it for anything but layering after discovering the first ones I mentioned. Hope you find one you like.
