Default Wishblade or CraftROBO question

Hello. I am planning on finally making the purchase of a cutting machine. I just have one question. Do you have to print and image out and then cut or can you just send an image or font directly to the cutter to be cut out?

I have tried to search this and the only thing that I found is that you print something out on your computer printer and then place it in the cutter to be cut out. But I want a machine like the Cricut that you pretty much just tell it what to cut and it does it all. I just hate the thought of buying all of the cartridges for the cricut and would rather have one that hooks right to the computer.

Any advice would help.

With the Wishblade (I have the old blue one not the new pink one) you make your text in the program and then send it to the cutter to cut. IF you want to you can print an imagine/font on your printer (the probram puts print marks so you know how to put in into the wishblade), then put that paper into the Wishblade, it reads the print marks and then cuts.

I have the pink one and it works the same way. You can send directly to the Wishblade to cut or to your printer first if you want to brint. There is also a pen attachment so you could send it to "print" using the pen on the Wishblade and then re-send to cut. I hope that makes sense.

Hi MANDY!!! (Waving wildly since I just met you yesterday!)

I have a Wishblade and love it ... I do everything from my computer directly to the machine itself. What I like about it - is you don't have to buy any cartridges ever and there are enough groups out there (i.e. Yahoo) to provide files if you don't design them yourself. I don't have nearly enough time to REALLY play with it but so far it's done exactly what I needed!

Hey Mandy!! Love your AVATAR!! LOL We're huge Steeler fans at our house too! LOL We're actually getting to see them play at Denver in a couple of weeks. hubby and i are flying from Iowa to see them!!

Anyway, I've sold these machines for over 18 months and would love to help you find the right one for you. I have Craft Robos, which are a GREAT deal right now!!

As far as the print & cut...

1) You can simply cut out your diecut out of cardstock or printed paper for a "normal" diecut.
2) You can cut the diecut out with your CR and then stick it to a piece of paper and put it through the printer, so basically it's a CUT & PRINT.
3) You can use the optical eye from the CR and print it out on your printer, and then take it to your CR to cut it out so you have a full color diecut.

Let me know if you have more questions! You can email me off the board if you'd like more info about cutters!
