Default whipper snapper stamps

Anyone think whipper snapper stamps will ever offer their stamps unmounted as well as mounted? I had hopes when they started offereing Anna's stamps as cling mounted. I Love some of their designs, but just can't justify the cost when I would have to unmount them myself. I'm keeping my fingers crossed they will offer unmounted some time soon.

I'd like to seen them offer them in unmouted rubber (my fav). And if they are going to make a change they need to make their impressions deeper. I've had to cut the centers out of every Whipper Stamp that I have that has a solid center. I love thier images and last month they gave me a $10 publishing credit for a card I submitted, but even so, I'd love deeper etching.

Hmm, that's good to know. I've never bought or even seen one of their stamps in person. I just think their images are so cute!

I definitely agree about the deeper etching of rubber for whippersnapper designs. I find I really struggle to get a clear image with their stamps, yet I keep buying them because they have such cute designs! Unmounted would be great, too.

I agree totally with the deeper etching of their stamps! Cute images, but I always have stray ink marks!

I borrowed a WS from a friend and was so disappointed! I could not get a clean image, I kept getting a spot on the bird's belly. It certainly saved me a lot of money!

My most recent purchase from WS (two weeks ago) surprised me. I was thrilled when I got my "kissing pigs" stamp and the inside of both pigs was cut out! No more stray marks...it was awesome!!!

Maybe they are making some changes?

I have several Whipper Snapper stamps and 1 Anna Wright set.
I love them because they are so cute, but I keep getting ink marks from the centers too!!
I thought it was me, or maybe it was a defective stamp,
but now after reading these posts, I guess it is the stamps themselves.
Maybe we could all sign a petition and ask them to make them deeper!

I'm sure this is feedback the folks at WS would love to have! I've found their customer service to be top-notch and I'm sure they will consider our suggestions!

I've had ink land in flat spots on the rubber, too, and have just used a scrap paper to cover the inked spot before I stamp - the ink acts kind of like glue to temporarily keep the paper in place. HTH!

Another huge Whipper Snapper fan here too! I get those ink spots on the tummies of my bunnies and chickens. But I still keep buying them, despite this and the price.

Am also hoping they offer unmounted as an option in the future. I've spent a fortune on their wood mounted stamps. But I can't help it! Their images are superb.

I suppose this type of post does not help the cause, because obviously, I will continue to buy, no matter what they do. My fave stamp, so far, is the little girl standing underneath the huge flower. It's amazing.

A bit of a hijack here... I wish Whipper Snapper was an angel company---I really love their images, but try to purchase only from companies with angel policies.

Has anyone tried to cut out the centers themselves? I never have, but I would def. want to know if it was possible before buying these

I LOVE Whipper Snapper, they have the cutest images...but I'm with everyone else, they def. need a deeper etching. I'd buy a bunch more, but it's just not worth it to me or the cardstock I go through trying to get a clean image.

I sent WS an email with this link, perhaps they will respond or take note. We can only hope.

HOly schnikey! I thought it was my technique!!! I am going in to cut out the flat spots on my WS stamps! They are a local company and occasionally have unmounted (rejects, I think) at a local stamp expo. easy for me than for you guys with the wood mounts.

I only have a few of these stamps and just stamped an image from 2004 and one from 2005 and got a beautiful image with both of them. I used versafine black ink and used a really light touch with the inkpad.

I'm with larue. Really light touch with the ink pad and then I check the stamp to see if there is any extra ink where there shouldn't be and wipe it off before stamping. Pain the butt, but I love the images. Could never give up my Whipper Snappers.

I have to totally agree with the above comments: totally adorable images, but really need to do deeper etching and unmounted!! I'm so glad for this thread because those are my 2 only complaints for WS!!

Regarding the rubber itself - it's funny because they have super thick rubber, but the impression is so shallow.

If anybody from WS is reading this thread - I would *definitely* buy a lot more stamps if they came unmounted!!

ITA, I LOVE their stuff but refuse to buy if I can't do what I want with my stamped images.
