Where can I buy Simple Green? *merged*
Some of you have mentioned using a product called Simple Green to clean your stamps (and house too!). I went to Wal-mart last night to get some, but I couldn't find it. Where can you buy it? Is it hard to find?

Sometimes at WalMart it's in the automotive section with their cleaners.

Try the hardware stores. They seem to always have it.

Ah, I had a feeling it might be in an "alternative" location! Thanks for the ideas, ladies! Sounds like a great product with lots of uses.

I get mine at the grocery store in the cleaning aisle. I certainly don't make a special trip to get it. It's right there with the rest of the cleaning supplies. HTH

I have also gotten a big jug a Costco and also Walmart's auto isle. Just a note...This stuff is INVALUABLE when it comes to laundry, I swear by it! It takes out dirt, grease, pen, etc... Couldn't live without it!!

I had gotten it at BJs but they stopped selling it (dumb move if you ask me!), but then I found a gallon jug at Home Depot in the cleaning area. My hubby loves it too - especially when he's doing the laundry (yes, you heard me right - I don't clean the bathroom either!)

I love Simple Green. My husband used it to clean his barracks room back in the day. So now I use it in the house. Love the smell. I find it with the cleaning stuff at Walmart, not in automotive.

LOVE THE SMELL??? I think it's awful. I wrinkle my nose every time I sprat it. My Wal-Mart is the only place I've found it and they don't have the lemon scent. I'm keeping on the lookout for it.
In the meantime, for my stamps I'm using stuff from Ranger - it's bubble gum scented. What fun!

Simple Green?
I had never heard of this before. Are you saying that you don't use the stampin mist? Do you use the scrub pad? How do you use the simple green? Do you need it for all kinds of ink, or just special ones?
Wow, I have a lot of questions!
Just a note: I was using one of those round different color pigment ink cases (I can't remember the name, and it is upstairs.) It wasn't completely coming off my blue rubber set. I took a slightly wet(with water), soft toothbrush, and it came right off!!!!!!

Costco, Family Dollar, Dollar General...
there are many places you find this, but the best price is perhaps Family Dollar, for about $2-3 a bottle, if you don't want to buy the mongo sized bottle from Costco.

Simple Green
Several threads have mentioned Simple Green as a great stamp cleaner. I've heard of it but none of the stores I've checked carry it..
Where are you ladies buying it?
And I think it's diluted but I can't remember the ratio.
Thanks!

I find at my Wal-Mart in the Automotive cleaning section. I dilute mine quite a bit and it cleans my stamps wonderfully. I have a small spray bottle from the travel sized items section and put about 1/4" of Simple Green and fill the rest with distilled water. It's so economical!!

The Dollar General stores carry it also. I had already been using it for general cleaning because it is non-toxic and biodegradeable. The spray bottle I got came ready to use.

I get mine in the cleaning aisle at the grocery store!!! And, I don't always dilute mine. But, when I do, I never measure....just put some Simple Green in the bottle, then fill it up with tap water!! HTH

I bought mine at Home Depot, but after I discovered how much I liked it, I bought the gallon at Sam's Club for $8.88!
I mix my SG a little stronger than most, because I have been using lots of StazOn. I fill my little spritz bottle about 1/4 to 1/3 full of SG, then add water (I haven't used distilled). I also add a "squirt" (maybe a teaspoon or so??) of glycerin to make sure my stamps don't dry out. I started adding the glycerin after reading about it here. Don't know if it's truly necessary or not.
Anyway, my little spray bottle costs mere pennies, and it cleans *everything*! Including crayon off the wall. I have Ultra Clean and StazOn cleaner just sitting on the shelf since I started using Simple Green.

I guess I am using distilled because I'd seen a recipe (on SCS of course) for a stamp cleaner using glycerin and baby wash and distilled water, that's supposed to be like SUs. I'm sure tap water would work just fine, as others have said that's what they use.
