Default where to buy sm jars or test tube vials

Hi, a while back people were talking about making the M&M Christmas Story gifts. Well I can't seem to find the little jars with lids or the test tubes with lids to put the M&M's in. All I have found are little ziploc bags and don't know how to decorate them. Please help. I did look at Hobby Lobby and Michaels and didn't find any - must have looked in wrong places? Thanks.

My M's had small M&M tins in their dollar section, with M&M's stationary items like shopping list pads, notecards, etc. I bought them when they had them for 75% off, making each thing a quarter. It would hold about one bag of M&M's - the size you get in the vending machines.

I just wish they still had the M&M scrapbooking paper on the market, I had a stack from when it was on the market but would love to order more

ETA: My M's has the test tubes in the jewelry supplies section, and hobby lobby also had them in the jewelry section. I didn't buy them because I didn't like the cap on them but I am going to buy some online (thanks for the link cmaibauer!). If you want to just go with the ziploc bag, you can do a bag topper.

I got mine at www.tooters.com I got 100 tubes w/ lids and shipping for $30.00 The lids are not cork but I couldnt beat the price. I recently bought a pattern for a box that held the tubes. I modified to fit my tubes and the tops do not show and it looks great!

Or you could just decorate the tops?

I just took a look at the site, and noticed that it's 1000 tubes for $30. Just wondering what you're going to do with so many tubes. Seems like a lot, and I'm a stock up queen.

The ones I bought were only a 100 but I also bought the lids and shipping all for $30.

I like to have enough of things but a 1000? Not sure I could use that many.

Did you take a look at specialitybottle.com. I have ordered from them several times and they always seem to have items to me in less than a week. I know for a fact that they have the test tubes, but I'm not sure how expensive they are.

Default What is an M&M's Christmas Story?

Hi,

I'm new to the site. I LOVE M&Ms and was curious what the M&M's Christmas Story is that you were referring to? Is there a link to this somewhere?

Thanks,
K

Smile M & M's Christmas Story

M&M Christmas Story

As you hold these candies in your hand and turn them, you will see....
The M becomes a W, an E, and then a 3.
They tell the Christmas story; it's one I'm sure you know.
It took place in a stable a long, long time ago.
The E is for the East where the star shone oh so bright.
The M is for the Manger where the baby Jesus slept that night.
The 3 is for the Wise Men; bearing gifts, they say they came.
W is for Worship - Hallelujah!
Praise His name!
So as you eat these candies or share them with a friend,
remember the meaning of Christmas.
It's a love story that never ends.

The site said this about those tubes: These 6" crystal test tubes are the same great quality as our blank product. Over printing of various logo's in a variety of colors has caused us to run this great sale. Random logo's will ship while supplies last. Sales final.

so these have logos on them. Not sure I would want that.

Ahhh but here's a chance for those really creative ladies to shine. Think bands of pretty paper or ribbon depending on the logo. How about removing the logo? It might scratch off. Maybe sticky strip and some pretty beads or glitter. OOOOHhhhh the opportunities are endless. The bigger question is "Where would you store them?".

I don't know if you have them in the US but we have a teachers store called Scholars choice. I am going to try there. The link listed would be great for plastic but I can't decide if I want plastic or glass. Glass is nicer but breaks easily, hmm, which to choose...

They're going to start selling test tubes at Papertrey tonight at midnight. You can see the details here on Nichole's blog: http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/
