I am seeing a lot of super pretty work of colored pencils on colored paper so I ordered some Strathmore 400 series toned tan and toned grey paper yesterday on sale to try it out.
Seems like white is a color I like a lot in this technique.
What white pencils are you guys using? Just what came in your sets or you have ones you especially like?
Prismacolors and polychromos sets both had white pencils in the sets. I use them both. Hard to keep a sharp point on the Prismacolors though compared to the Polychromos. If there are specialty white colored pencils out there that are better I’d like to know about those.
I bought that exact pencil based off of recommendations, but found I don't like it on kraft cardstock anywhere near as much as I like my prismacolor white pencil.

I tried out some new Fabriano Black Black paper - and while I had it out, I did a little white pencil comparison as well, and added in a couple I hadn't compared before. Just so you know you're special... I hardly ever do videos where I just talk while I'm filming without any forethought! Hope this is helpful.
Thanks Dina! I think I am going to try the derwent colorsoft, the caran (others have said they like them in general and I dont have any so I will try a basic) and the prisma color. I think I can get all of them as singles at Blick.
I guess while we are on topic...have we ever talked about black pencils?
