Default What can you tell me about the Sizzix embossing only machine?

I've been told it's easier to use then the Cuddlebug and that it's much less expensive. Anybody?

It is much less expensive, but it only embosses. It doesn't have the power to cut with most dies, and you can't fit the thicker dies into it anyway. It's about half the price of the Cuttlebug (regular price on both), but also does about half the functions. It didn't strike me as any more difficult or easy to use than the Bug, but I also think both are pretty easy to use.

I agree with Kikikaren. It ONLY embosses...you can do so much more with the CB that I would not even bother with the machine that only embosses.....I love that I can use nesties in my CB as well as other poplar dies.
blessings.

I just bought my cuttlebug at Michaels and used a coupon and it came out to 40 dollars, i was really pleased with that, and it gave me i think 4 little embossing folders and 1 that cut it out.

Well, it's a cute little thing. But even with embossing, you have to run the folder through only one way. That would make it hard to emboss the front of a card, because you would have to fold it around the folder, and that would leave little lines probably. You can't use the bigger 5x7 folders in it either.

I'd wait until you have just a little more money and get the CB, or if you can, The Big Kick/Big Shot. You'll be happier, even if you are just embossing, because you can use Texturz plates, the bigger folders, things like that.

I love mine! I use it all the time for embossing. It's easy to take places, it's light, and it does really good embossing. I also have a Sizzix Big Shot, which I also love. When I have bulk items to emboss, such as a large set of cards, I like having the Texture Boutique to use.
