I know this has been discussed a million times but I was just about to go to papertrey to get more cardstock when I noticed the quantity was lowered, I guess its still a good deal 40 sheets for 6.95, but what other cardstock can I try before i buy more stamps and stuff I really dont need at PTI

I dont think they have changed their price or lowered the quantity. From what I can recall it has always be $6 for 40 sheets and I just looked and thats what it still is.
However Neenah solar crest white is AWESOME for copics but it is pricey too unless you get it on sale. I have heard GinaK paper is good too, along with Georgia pacific from walmart (although not as thick and white as the other two).
I've tried several that have been recommended (Neenah, and PTI included) and have liked them all. However, for the $, I keep going back to the Georgia Pacific 110lb CS from Wally World. It works well and, @ around $8 for 150 sheets, is so much cheaper.

Reason: fix a comma splice
Neenah Classic Crest Solar White has been my go-to for a long time. I just tried Prism Simply Smooth White and Simply Smooth Ivory, and wowee!!! I think I have a new favorite. It's fabulous!

Mine, too.
I'll see if I can find some Prism and try it out. Is it new or has it been around for a while (just under-recognized as a good paper)?

I'm laffin, but only cuz I hate to say there's a "best", but, with good reason. ;)
Everybody has personal preferences--surface, weight, absorbancy rate, non-feathering features, tint, and price.
We all buy and test, until we find what most suits the end results we're after, UKWIM? But, it may not be the same as what someone else is after, or likes. :p
Good luck on your quest! Even tho I've been very pleased with Neenah, I'malways curious about what everybody else finds that works well for them.

I've used the Magna Art pads from Michaels and the Vellum Bristol Paper pads as well for colouring with markers (I don't have copic - I just have bic mark its right now) and I like these papers. They're both very thick (130lb) and very smooth - the paper is designed for colouring with markers so there's no bleed through to the back and it's artist grade paper so it is acid free and won't discolour over time. The only thing I would say is a drawback is that it isn't bright white. But up against coloured or patterned paper you probably wouldn't be able to tell. The only way I can tell is when I put it up next to a bright white piece of paper. They will run about $12 for a 9x12 pad of 20 sheets.
i have an idea!! How about someone who has prisma and gink Paper wants to swap with me?PTI and you send me either Primsa white or Gina K, We each pay shipping on the item. Just send one or two 8 1/2 x 11 and then we can all see if we like the papers we shared?

I think it's fairly new (it's listed under New Products on the Prism site). Jeanne and Keri Lee were telling me about it at CHA, and now I know why they were ravin'! It's like magic. Definitely different than the Neenah, but I love it. Uses way less ink.
I have been using the Hammermill Color Copy Cover. 250 Sheets was about $11. I use the 60 lb weight, but that is because I always mount it onto something else. However, it comes in 80 and 100 lb weights as well. 100 brightness. It is acid free archival. It has a really really smooth finish. I know with the 60 lb weight it takes almost nothing to soak through with the Copics.
Xpedx carries it, and I know that their retail store If Its Paper had it, and the one here let me try out different samples of the different weights before I bought it. I went back and bought it the next day.

Glad I found this. I just saw this today and wondered what the results would be like. 110lb is a great weight but i was worried about COPIC coloring. I'll pick up a few packs tomorrow when I make my daily trip.

I find this out after I go and find Neenah ... now, I have two reams... I need to play with that first!
I'm going to be heading down to the paper warehouse, Kelly Paper. They carry Neenah. They have two finished, Smooth and smoother. Which do you prefer? Do you use the 80lb or the 110lb.
