My first choice is Tombow Mono Multi glue. Second choice is Scotch brand double stick tape.

I use my ATG for most things, but when I want something smaller, I use the red duck tape.. didn't realize they changed formulas though-- I haven't bought any in quite awhile. If I need an uber strong adhesive for altering projects I use Scor-Tape (as strong as red line tape, but can be torn with your fingers, and has a paper liner--not the static prone plastic liner). For liquid, I love the Tombo mono multi (green and white bottle) or the Scotch Quick Dry. I find them to be pretty identical as far as strength, but the Scotch Quick Dry is a bigger bottle for less money, so more economical.

I've never had any luck with the Tombo snail that SU sells. Every time I go to a club meeting at my demos, my cards are already falling apart by the next day.

I love my 3M ATG for most applications. So easy and economical.

But recently I've been using Tombo Mono Multi <green cap> for layers. I LOVE, love, love! that it gives you a bit of wiggle time to get things straight and situated. But Mike's doesn't carry it, so I think I'm going to have to order from Penwa. Does it go bad in time? $50 is A LOT of mono multi, LOL~

I love Kokuyo's Dotto tape runner and am living in hope that someone will recognize what a great product this is and buy out that part of the company. In the meantime I'll be stocking up on refills.

I also love my 3M 714 ATG! Soo sticky so I have no problems with layers coming apart...even embellishments hold nicely. This is a plus for me since I also make wedding and shower invitations. I think that would be the worst thing if someones wedding invitations fell apart in the mail after they paid a good deal of money for them. Wouldn't say very much about the quality of work you're putting out either.

Its great for quick cards at work.

I also love Fabritac for a liquid . It bonds quick and you can get by with
using very little.

I really love the DUCK for small stuff. I am disappointed I can't get it at my Walmart anymore. I use my ATG for larger stuff. I am an adhesive junkie so I have several other kinds of tape runners too but keep going back to my favs. ADTECH is fine but sometimes gets gunky on me. Snail is fine too but you have to use a lot of it to make sure it sticks.

Tombow snails are really 'iffy' in NH, sometimes they stick and sometimes they don't! I have used AdTech from Walmart....much stronger than Tombow and a great price!!

My favorite too! I can carefully remove something within a few minutes of putting it down if I change my mind, but after a few minutes the stuff sticks really good - perfect!

However, this thread makes me realize that there may be cheaper alternatives (glue glider pro and 3M double stick tape)

Thanks for this info.

Also wanted to add that someone else mentioned fabriTac and I wanted to say my BFF raves about it but I rarely use liquid glue (yet still have 3+ bottles ) so I have not persoanlly tried it yet.

Tombow Mono Multi glue with the green cap. I also like ScoreTape for certain situations.

It's supposed to be extra-heavy-duty, but it works just like the runners do. I think it'll prove a little on the pricey side -- the runners, for some reason, are not refillable -- but I bought one to try, and it seemed to work pretty well for the stuff I was working on last evening. We'll see how it holds up . . . Has anyone else tried this stuff?
I picked up a Tombow Power Bond runner last week and at first glance it appears just like the Duck tape but after it sits for a while the tape really sticks. I was having problems with my corners coming up but since I've used the Tombow Power Bond I haven't had any problems. In fact I picked up a second one yesterday. I wish it came with refills but as long as it does what I need it to I'm willing to pay the price for another.

I just bought out all the Kokuyo tape the store had--no refills, so I had to buy the cartridges full of tape, but thought I should if they are discontinuing my favorite tape. I use Scotch 1/2" and 3/4" for most jobs, but if it is difficult to adhere, or I have a narrow space, or need to lots of adhering in a short amount of time. Now I will have to find something comparable--maybe the Ad-tech? The same thing happened to me when SU stopped carrying their liquid glue. Haven't found anything I like as well, that dispenses as well and behaves as well yet. Thanks for all the input and information from the greatest group of crafters.

The refills for the Glue Glider are really expensive. $8 or $9 dollars for 60 feet. The ATG refills are $3 or $4 for 36 yards. I use my ATG for everything and find it works perfectly.

I love the tombo mono adhesive for everything. It stays wet for a couple of seconds so I can get my layers straight then it's stuck forever. It's also strong enough for 3D projects.

I use Zip-Dry exclusively. I love it. It's like rubber cement. If it comes out of the edges of your layers you rub it and it balls up and rubs away with no shiny residue. LOVE IT! And it NEVER warps your paper. It actually helps to reinforce your layers by making them stiff!

I came across this site that sells adhesives in bulk. If you don't mind buying a few extra it saves some money.

Scor Tape all the way. Sometimes just plain old rubber cement is good, glue dots.

Even have a glue gun too but don't use it much anymore. Scor Tape is #1 I have 3 different sizes and back up of each for about 4 years in case they stop making it.

Another vote for Ad-Tech from Wal-Mart; it's my main adhesive. I love using Liquid Glass from CTMH for delicate stuff, alphabet letters, buttons, etc. I use Scor-tape for making envelopes. Mini glue dots (Zots)from Therm-o-web for some stuff like pom-poms that don't work well with other stuff. Have lots of other stuff like Scotch double-sided tape, Fiskars photo stickers (mounting squares), etc and they all have their uses.
Bought the X from Xyron almost a year ago, but haven't used it yet; it's so small and seems awkward to use.
