Washi Tape
I have only seen Washi tape a month or so ago. I can't figure out what to do with it except put a strip on a card or scrapbook page. Am I missing something? I like the patterns on some of it but I just don't know what to do with a roll.

I have a few rolls, but I pretty much forget to use it. You figured it out. Put a strip on a card for decoration. I have also seen it used as a temporary adhesive, but there are cheaper solutions for that!
For more ideas, you might want to search Pinterest.

I'm a late adopter after resisting for so long because it's not very sticky or practical and not exactly inexpensive! I just bought a few small rolls to tape elements into my art journal. I've seen crafters edge pages in their mini books with it, which looks really good, and I've seen card makers use it to make a vertical or horizontal strip to add an accent to a card front.

Find couple patterns that work together, and make your own background paper using diagonal stripes.. Use them in your die cutting machines...

put strips on wax paper and use a punch or die cut to make a sticker shape you want in the pattern you like!

I love using it on envelopes when I am mailing a card. I just use it to decorate the envelope and brighten it up a bit.

I have several of the Tim Holtz rosette dies - for the rosettes and for snowflakes - and sometimes the cut piece wants to separate on the perforations. He suggests reinforcing the back side with some transparent tape to keep it together. You know what works even better? Cutting them from plain cardstock and using coordinating washi tape on the front for reinforcement!

After buying several (and then more). I realized I don't use it much. And also learned not to jump on new trends right away

This is what I do...I have specific holiday ones and birthday washi that I use to decorate the envelopes of the cards I send out both handmade cards and store bought cards.

My Mother-in-law loves washi tape! She makes cards and cards of it just putting on a bunch of different colored lines on a card background and then a punched sentiment on top. She has arthritis in her hands and she finds it's easy for her to use.

I have several rolls of washi tape, but like others here, have found I don't really use it much.
I do put a strip across the back of envelopes that I mail, just for a little pizzaz.
I guess I'm kind of a lazy cardmaker. I would rather work with paper and dies than fool with sticking down tape to make colors and designs.

There are some good ideas here. I have a whole circular dispenser thing of it from Costco that came with a bunch of rolls, not all of them great designs. I use it for envelopes too but I'm glad to see these ideas. Liked the waxed paper and punch idea. I don't think I'm going to buy more though. I am using the not pretty ones as temp tape already.

Funny about washi. I liked it so much in the beginning. Will use up though just to get that dispenser off my desk.

I just saw where someone (I'm sorry I don't remember who) put some on cardstock then die cut a word. Hope to do that soon to get rid of some of mine.

Fastest 18 cards I have ever made: 3 strips of coordinating Washi diagonally across white card front, with solid color matching layer under that, on a white card base. Speech bubble die cut, popped up with foam tape right on top of Washi strips. Add some Candy dots or jewels. VERY CUTE!

I'm not able to download any phone-camera photos because I downloaded Picasa and now all my files are a mess, and it won't take the photos out of my phone-camera. I'm very frustrated. I hope to get some help soon, and will post lots.

Oh Lordy. I really didn't see any need of having just one more thing in my array of stamping goodies. Now I shall have to purchase a bunch. Ahhh, what enablers y'all are.
