Shaz, just fyi, in my photo of Clair 1st to 3rd generation stamping, photopolymer stamps were used. Maybe the difference is paper - not better or worse, just different? I used Neenah Classic Crest 80 pound, solar white.

I don't see the photos in this thread so I guess it's in another - will re-post here.

Can't wait for the happy accident technique.

They are available at Ellen Hutson's now. Just ordered about half of them. There is also a 20% off on stamps today and tomorrow.

They are also at Simon Says Stamps now. They have an anniversary sale -- 15% off everything.

Lydia, thanks for posting the videos. I really enjoyed watching them and you have inspired me to spend time practicing shading with my watercolors. Iíve never had any art instruction, so your video will be my classroom.

Versafine Clairís are also available at Frantic Stamper. I saw in an email this am that many colors had already sold out, but more were coming next week. No special discount on them, however, Franís customer serviice is awesome and they have already shipped out.
One other thing, FS had refills for Nocturne and Pinecone for $8. I picked up a Nocturne because I suspect it will become my new ďgo toĒ black ink.

Just saw that mddavis53 posted this video, I happened to watch it last night on You Tube, and wanted to comment on how long it stays wet enough to add Embossing powder, yet is long before that dry enough not to smear. So it's clearly a totally different formulation of ink.
She stamps her first image at 3.38, demos the non smudge at 5.16, yet every image takes the embossing powder at 13.45- a full 10 minutes after she stamped the first image.

Versafine Clair is my absolute favorite black, especially for sentiments.
I have quite a few top line blacks, but this gives the most crisp image. I can count on it every time.
