Default UPDATE Versafine ink

Several months ago I posted that my new ink pad was giving me grief. After stamping the ink stayed wet and was smearing. I also mentioned that the manager of a LSS said she switched from same because of the same problem.
I posted here and happened to mention that I always Store my inkpads upside down, which I was told to do by a SU demo.
Anyway, was advised here not to do that, so I turned my pad right side up but bought a mew momento black ink which I still have not opened. Yesterday I decided to try my new Versafine again.......HOORAY it was fine. So a big thank you for all your advice. I am so glad I did this, my first pad still inks well, but Ithought after 12 years I should have a back up, and I did have a coupon to buy the new pad. Almost all my Versafine are the same age.....why don’t other companies inks have the same longevity?

Happy stamper. Thanks again.

Yay, glad it worked out! I think the fact that Versafine has an oil base helps with the longevity thing, it’s not subject to any kind of evaporation I guess.

I don't store any inkpads upside-down anymore. I haven't had any problems. I'm glad things worked out for you. I know things like this can be very frustrating.

That's why they only sell ink refills in black; there may be other colors of refills, but that's the only one I can think of. The pads wear out before they need re-inking.

Vintage Sepia is the other one that’s available as a refill.
