Default Trouble with Sizzix Sizzlets?

Has anyone had any trouble with some of the Sizzlets not cutting at all? I have about 3 or four that simply will not cut no matter what I do. One is a Jack 0 Lantern, one is a reindeer's head, there are two more. I can't return them, i'v had them for a while. I have used all my machines as well, the sidekick,, the cuttlebug, and the big shot...i'm so mad! I just ordered two from Sizzix, one is an owl, the other a turkey, they better cut....

Yes. I have a snowflake that wouldn't cut. I shimmed but no luck. Then I tried my Sidekick and it worked. What kind of machine are you using them in? I first tried my old red machine, but later heard that some sizzlets are only meant for a roller type machine.

I don't know if this is the "technical" way to do it or if you are doing it this way or not... but I used to put my dies in with the dies cutting down and sometimes they wouldn't cut completely. Now I put my die in with the paper on top and the cutting mat over that and they cut perfectly!

I used the Sidekick for them. I just canot imagine why they don't cut! I tried what you said colleen, and they still did not work. But on a good note the owl and turkey ones that I got yesterday work perfectly! I just might have gotten a bad couple dies. Of course the are the ones I really like...thank you for your help, it's appreciated!

I know it's been a while, but you may have luck just taking them back to where you got them or contacting Sizzix for an exchange. I've been rather shocked lately that company's have been backing their products more. It's worth a try

I have had Sizzlets dies that just don't work. Sometimes I think they are just defective dies. I've tried shimming, using the Big Shot, using my old original Sizzix with the Sizzlet converter -- nothing worked for them. So I think you need to contact Sizzix.

This has worked for me in the past: When you place them on your cutting mat, don't put them in the center. You get better pressure when you place them on the edges of your mat. HTH.

I have this problem with a few of my more used sizzlets and some of the more intricate ones.

Ive found adding a piece of card (of decent thickness) under the non-cutting side of the die seems to help and let it cut perfectly

Oh just so you know ive tried this in the bigshot and the CB

I'm not a fan of Sizzlits at all...broke my first original Sizzix. But the company replaced and upgraded me to a bigkick, free of charge. Yeah me!

I had this problem with one of them I bought. I tried all of the suggestions listed in this thread to no avail. I gave it to a friend and it worked fine in her machine. Go figure. But I won't waste my money on them again.
