Default Are these cutters the same and just named differently?

The tonic studios 8.5 trimmer and the Tim Holtz 8.5 tonic studios trimmer look similar. Has anyone used both and know if they are different?

I have not used both but Tim is now affiliated with Tonic and selling many of his products through them so my guess would be yes. I have three different sizes of the Tonic trimmers and I love them all. Hope this helps.

I agree, I have Tonic products from a few years ago, and they are indeed identical to Tonic products carrying Tims name now. Also, I have X-Cut products- a guillotine and some scissors, that are also identical to Tonic/Tim Holtz products on sale now, so I'd guess they were something to do with Tonic at some point as well. I'd also add that they are all great cutting pieces of equipment.
