Is there a Punch that looks like Primas?
Does anyone know of a flower punch that looks similar to the Prima flowers?
I would like to make flowers to match my projects.

There are so many flowers available that I'm not sure which ones are primas, but there is a Martha Stewart hydrangea punch now available at some Walmart stores. It punches two sizes of a four-petal flower. EK Success makes a small punch that punches one five-petal flower like those that the SU Three For You punch punches. Wow! That's a lot of punches in one sentence! Hope that makes sense! The EK punch is available at Michael's Craft store and some online stores.

I agree with the above posting. Martha Stewart has several punches that can be used for making them.

I saw a tutorial that showed a gal making a prima flower with a punch and a stylus and they looked EXACTLY like a Prima, but for the life of me, I can't find it. It must have been on someone's blog.
Does anyone know which one I'm reffering to???

No it was here on this site. But for the life of me I can't think of it either. I know exactly what you are talking about. I'll find and link it soon.

Hi there,
You can use this same technique with the SU scallop punch, It makes awesome large blooms!
Imagine, Prima's to match SU card stock.

Thank you thank you for the great ideas... I am going to grab my scalloped punch and try these today!!
Does anyone know of a smaller punch that looks similar to the demo with the Australian punches.. they looked very good and I would like to find similar punches.

I found a tiny flower punch in the Taget $ isle that looks a lot like the small primas.

I did a mini tute on paper flowers on my blog here.
They're so easy, and more beautiful than Primas IMO!

Love the tut. Now I wish I'd bought that punch when I saw it today at AC Moore. I do have a lot of flower punches and couldn't figure out a creative way to use the Martha one. I guess one day I'll go back and get it.

My favorite place to find lots of punches is Fran at the frantic stamper.
www.franticstamper.com
she has every brand out there I think. Check the home page, scroll down till you come to punches. Have fun-and fran is a doll to work with.
Bare with me first time trying to link......HTH

I recently bought a punch that looks like the one that Valita used from Impress ( www.impressrubberstamps.com). They sell them in 3 different sizes.

Ok, I feel silly, but I completely have no idea how you could use the new SU scallop punch to make homemade flowers. Could someone explain, and/or post a picture of one that they made? I just can't seem to picture it. Thanks, Lisa

There is a tutorial on how to make faux primas from Nestibilities cuts here:
http://joanne-mainlyflowers.blogspot...20%27Primas%27
She has lots of sculpted flowers with instructions on how to make them with simple or no tools. Lots of eye candy.

I should have mentioned that I followed Joanne's tutorial for making paper flowers out of a Nestibilities scalloped circle and it works pretty well. I just love what she does with such simple tools and paper.

This works very well for small flowers (which I prefer). If you want big ones, you will want to find a larger punch. I am making flowers using text from an old french dictionary. These will go on my vintage ATCs.

The flowers made from an old French dictionary sound neat. What a way to customize an ATC.

I was at Archiver's a couple of days ago and found a new Quickutz die called "flowers" that looks like you could use to make Prima's with.

Hi, I just bought the Martha Steward 3-in-1 Hydragena punch from Walmart. What is the best paper or cardstock to make your own Prima's? And also which is the best stylus to purchase? SU one? Thanks for all your help on making these Prima flowers....I love them!
