I'm thinking about finally breaking down and buying a set of the Nestablities dies. My question is this...do I need to buy the tan mat if I will be using the dies in a Big Kick? I have the Multipurpose Platform and the black rubbery thing (can't remember what it's called) for embossing with brass templates. Any help appreciated.
I think you do need the tan mats. I just got my first set of Nestabilities and the tan mats and they work fine in my Big Kick. I have read on other threads that some people have used different types of mats (like the one in the Texturz Starter Kit) and the dies have cut into them. So I just got the tan mats. They work fine in my big Kick.
I have a Big Shot ( I think it is the same as Big Kick) and I use the tan mat always for embossing with great results. I have tried several sandwiches but find in the long run the tan pad has been a good investment.
