Default SU marker spritzer tool?

Does anyone know if thisColor Spritzer Tool - by Stampin' Up! spritzer will hold Memento markers? I'd love to do some ink spraying using my markers but I don't own SU markers and I've never seen one of these except in the SU catalog.
thanks for your help!

Guess it must be a tool most people don't use...

Hey, thanks for responding! Where would they be? I scoured that store and never found one...of course I live in a small town so it could be that there's no demand for it. I've tried looking online and the only one I found comes with its own markers with no comments on whether you can use other markers with it or not.

there is a little tension knob on it so it probably would hold memento markers but i don't have any of those to try out. I have had the spritzer forever - got it when it was new and took a break from stamping for about 5 years. Just used it for the first time ever a few weeks ago. It's ok - but nothing I am jumping up and down about.

After thinking about it for a while, I remembered reading somewhere that you can use canned air for spritzing. I found this video Making an Air Brush from your Copic Markers - YouTube that does an okay job of showing what you do.
I actually experimented without cutting my straw down or using Copics (mainly because I don't have any ;)) I just held my Memento marker up to the straw and sprayed short bursts. Definitely need to use a Color Catcher or box of some sort because it is rather messy. The only draw back for me is it can look more like a mist and I really want splats. Idk...I may still search for that spritzer since it seems to have more control.

let me see if I can attach this scanned image. I just got a few new SU stamps, was playing around with them and when I tried the canned air thing it went everywhere! That's how I knew I needed a box hahaha.
anyway just sharing my results!

Kathy - I have the SU spritzer tool and no SU markers - I've used it with Mementos, LePlumes. some Joann's brand that I don't think are available anymore and some really cheapo kid's ones. The only type I have that I haven't tried in it is Sharpies - they look to be too big around to fit into the holding ring, and I don't know that something without the brush tip will work. As long as the marker fits thru the ring, the screw will adjust to hold it tight.

Oh thanks for that info! I'm hoping this tool works better than canned air trick I tried.

I love mine - when I remember I own it (tool overload happening in my crafting cave)!

I saved a blog post from Amy Rysavy explaining the best way to hold the spritzer - Using The Color Spritzer - and it really helps to hold it the way she shows. When I first got mine, I was using it the way she shows in her before photo, and it is 10000x better using it the way she suggests.

Thanks for the visual on how to hold it. I think that's a much better way to control it!
