Can I ask a dorky question? I'm starting to get into some of the "non-SU" items (or at least am considering getting into them) like Primas, etc. - is "stickles" just glitter glue? Do people just use it as an embellishment?
Just wanted to check what it is, what people tend to use it for, is it safe to put on scrapbooks or only cards, etc., etc., etc.
Basically yes, stickles is glitter glue! It is so much easier that applying glue and then getting glitter out to sprinkle on top. This is one easy step. Plus the applicator tip is fine so you can get into very small spaces. The bottle says it is Acid free! Do a search in the gallery for stickles, and you can find some very cute ideas! And yes.... you need more than 1 bottle of stickles!!!

Thanks, Lisa, for the clarification. I think I was just slow on the upswing on this one - but that totally makes sense if you want to add glittter to something - just have it in one step rather than needed to sprinkle glitter over glue and get totally glittery at the same time. I LIKE this idea of all-in-one!
Thanks again!

I was a total DD addict until I found Stickles - all the sparkle and none of the mess You will love it.
Can they only be bought on line or are they in our craft stores? I've looked in our small Michaels, but haven't seen them. What are the must have Stickles colors?
I just started using Stickles more and more and LOOOOOOOOOVEEEEE them--dh is happy now since there aren't little sparkles all over the place.
Tee hee ... I love my Stickles too but I'm such a glitter freak that I'll use Stickles AND my DD!!! So I'm still all sparkly! But you CAN use Stickles in place of DD for sure...

Debbie - thanks for the head up!!! I just went to scrapbookpal.com and restocked my Mono Multi AND I got a free stickles (coupon code SPRING through March 31)!! What a great store - they have TONS of stuff at great prices! Thanks again!
Ok, I've seen three posts asking for the must-have Stickles colors and no one's answered so I'll take a stab at it. I found a ton of Stickles at the LSS near my mom in Texas so I got about a zillion of them. When I was trying to figure out what they were, I looked for threads on Stickles and wrote down the colors that kept popping up the most--usually the clear or neutral colors, like Diamonds (the bottle looks white). You can put that on top of any color and it'll make it shiny while allowing the color to shine through. They've got four or five slightly different versions of that, I can't remember all the names. Other than that, I'd get some colors that you'd use a lot for things like flower centers--just go with colors you'd feel comfortable using. Or do like I did and buy pretty much all of 'em
what price are people paying for these at your LSS? I pay 1.99, so these sales don't seem to be really great bargains. just wondering if i am getting a great deal at my store already!

Tracey and NC - you both asked about colors -- I have about (went into craft room to count!) 17 or 18 bottles of Stickles, so I certainly have lots of colors. But I find that I gravitate to the diamonds most. I like the neutral. My LSS only charges $1.60 or at least that is what is on the price sticker of one of them. I would say start with icicle, star dust, crystal or silver and then get a gold. Try out the neutrals before getting the colors.
