Default Stencils

I went to a stamp convention yesterday and fell in love with the use of stencils with pastels. I bought a set to get started and am so excited. Do you have any ideas for quick and easy, yet elegant looking Christmas cards? I'm going to get some of the Dreamweavers Embossing Paste, I saw that too. The vendors were out of the translucent paste but a store about an hour away has it in stock, so I'm taking a little trip for some paste. Woohoo!

Also, can I use any medium for coloring? I got some pastels yesterday that are supposed to not smear. I'm excited about checking these out.

Thanks!

Hi Bridgette,
I got some of this at a convention a year and a half ago and really love the effect. I used chalk ink and daubers to color in the stenciled image then used the pearlescent embossing paste on top. Have you seen the stencilwithstyle website. Here is a link to their gallery with some holiday ideas..
