Help I have tried everything to get Staz-on off my favorite stamp set and nothing has worked. Special staz-on cleaner, very smelly! Bleach, also very smelly! Versamark Pad, did not work just turned the pad black and it was not even mine, OOPS!
Olive oil, believe it or not! Rub it on, let sit for a minute, wipe it off with paper towel, then wash with mild soad and rinse with water. Don't worry about the water on your blocks, pat dry with towel and stand up to let wood dry. Learned that trick from a previous thread here. Olive oil is nice on your hands, too.

If you can get your hands on some stamp cleaner by supierier it takes off evry thing. If youo can't find it on line try my website. TAC carries it. It's taken off stazon thats sat on my sets for over six months.;)
Ultra clean took it off a set that it had been on for months. Just got some in the mail today from stampingfreak.com I recommend this site - fast and great service. I just used it on the most stained stamp I have and cleaned it right up. Love this stuff!

Great minds think alike! We must have been typing the same thing at the same time!

Yup, Ultra Clean (cleans StazOn better than the StazOn cleaner)...it will even clean the wood blocks. I borrowed some incredibly ucky stamps from a friend and sent them back to her spotless..she never said a word...either she was embarrassed or didn't notice...guess I'll never know!
Ok, I am going to some sites to look at the cleaner. The olive oil took off some but, I can still see black and I do not want to mess up anymore ink pads so off I go.
Thanks, Ladies! I had this same question...tried everything. Well, not Olive Oil, so I will try that. BUT...since you suggested it, I went onto ebay and ID Name: culverv is selling them for $4.00 per bottle with $1.49 shipping. I looked elsewhere on the internet, but didn't find a cheaper place. If anyone knows of anywhere cheaper, please let us know.
Thanks again!
Annette
You need Ultraclean by Stewart Superior...the best stuff going! I got mine from GinaK's store. Here's the link Gina's great!!
I ordered from GinaK and the total price for the larger 8 oz bottle after shipping etc was 21.90 equals out to a few cents cheaper than the Ebay find. GinaK has other cool stuff on her site too.
WOW!!! I got my Ultra Clean in yesterday. It is absolutely wonderful! My stamp was completely black, now--doesn't look quite new, but close enough. Thanks so much ladies!!

OK - I use a very BASIC method......baby wipes. If you do it shortly after you stamp it comes right off. I haven't tried it on stamps that are *totally* stained, but it is a very cheap method to try!
I was in Omaha over the Holiday and found an Archivers store that sold ultraclean, I am very happy with the results. I will be posting photos on my blog in the near future. Thanks for all the great ideas.
I am in agreement with most of you out there, this ULTRACLEAN is a must have stamping tool!
