Default Spellbinders Impressabilities with Cuttle bug?

Hi!

I recently purchased a "Spellbinders Impressabilities to use with my Cuttle Bug." There is absolutely no information on the package. I asked the sales woman at JoAnne's, in the department, if it was meant to use with Cuttle Bug. She said, "yes."

Ok--the piece is super thin...it is a collage of flowers...made of very sharp metal. I tried to hand emboss the piece with a stylus, and it was so sharp that just by holding it in place, it put little cuts in my fingers. I hope you can tell by my description what the piece is like. (I do not really want directions on how I can hand emboss it...I'd rather use my CB! Thank you, anyway.)

I tried it with my CB, and it is so thin...it just passed through. (I used my A, B and then the metal sheet and piece of paper, and then the other B panel.) I put MANY sheets of paper under it...nothing. I do not know what my "C" panel of the CB is for. Could it be used for this?

Does anyone have a sheet of these "Spellbinders Impressionabilities" that they have successfuly used in their CB, or any other way? I would love to texturize the paper! I would also, love to use it as a stencil, if you will, after it is textured on say, vellum...to color it.

PLEASE email me and let me know if you have any information, ideas, or suggestions for me. I will try them all. I ask for a message, because I can never find these threads again. I get lost! Thanks!

Thank you so much! I appreciate each of you!

You can find information on how to use the stencils in a variety of machines on youtube.

I have a couple but I only use them as stencils. It looks great after using a mini ink pad on it. I looked them up on here after I purchased them and the reviews were not that great. They are flimsy and if you bend it, it may not work properly again in your Cuttlebug atleast that is what I read so I never bothered.

Try this website. Go to almost the bottom for the info you are requesting. However this page/website has many video tutorials on the cuttlebug. I have a bidshot, but this site has been very helpful. Good luck!

I think the correct sandwich is A plate then B plate, then card stock then Impressionabilites, then tan embossing mat, then another B plate (and shim if you need it.

I follow a blog called Ikki's Cuttlebug cupboard and she has some information about the Spellbinder Impressabilities. Here is a link devoted to the topic which is listed on the RHS of her Blog under "Impressabilities".

Scroll down to go to the first topic - and there are about 6 articles about them. Hope this helps

My impressions are usually pretty light - so I spritz the paper with water first.
I do remember nearly freaking the first time I used an impressability when the "frame" detached. Then I realized it was supposed to!

Smile Thank you EVERYONE!!!!

Hi Everyone~

Thank you all for sharing your best tips and video clips. I think they were all helpful, since they all had different nuances.

The clip from Wendybell...sharing Gina K's video was really the clearest for me to see. So, if you are curious...take a look!
