Slit Punch vs Ticket Corner Punch
I am going to get one of these two this week, and would love input on which one I should get.
The slit punch looks intriguing, but I'm not sure how to use it ~ and could I not use the 1/2" circle punch in place of the ticket corner punch?
Please share with me which of the 2 you have, like, and what you do with it.
Thanks!

I have both- and use the ticket corner infinitely more than the slit punch.
I never have any idea what to do with the slit punch. I got it first because people say you can make ticket corners with it- but even when I marked the spot to put the paper to, mine never came out even.
As someone said on a thread before at $5.95 the ticket corner punch is "practically free". It's an awesome punch, and I'd totally get it.
(But it is a single tasker- it only does the one thing).
I wish I knew what to do with the slit punch.

I would vote for the ticket punch too but you can make awesome scalloped borders with the slit punch...I've seen quite a few really cute cards with the slit punch as an accent in the gallery...I'd get BOTH.

I recently got both the slit punch and the ticket corner punch.
I use the ticket corner punch all the time, and have yet to use the slit punch.
I tried to use a circle punch to make a similar look to the ticket corner, and it was a lot of trouble and didn't always come out even. I love the ticket corner punch and think it is a great tool for the price!

I have both and I use the ticket corner punch much more than the slit. The only reason I got the slit punch was to make scalloped circles, but then I found the Marvy Punch so I didn't need it any more!
And no, you can't use the circle punch in place of the slit punch. Dangit!
Here's a link to a card I did with a slit punch, it uses one of the long notes:

I have the slit punch and barely use it also. I think I used it for two cards. Someone mentioned the slit punch to make a scalloped edge. How do you do that? The roundness faces the wrong way.

scalloped edge with a slit punch...I did it on a thin strip of paper, then attached the strip to the edge of my card...my scanner's broken so I can't share what it looks like right now but I seen examples in the gallery.

I have had both since they came out and I use the Ticket punch SOOO much!! I think I've made 3 cards alone just this week using it. It is very versatile!! Good luck deciding!

Here are a couple cards that I did with the slit punch to make a scalloped edge: Card 1, Card 2
I cut a strip of paper about 1 1/4". Then starting in the middle (so that your punches end evenly on each side) with the bottom of the punch up so I could see the paper, I punched a slit and then moved it to one side till the edge lined up with the previously punched edge and then kept repeating to the end. Then I went back and did it on the other side of that first punch.

I've got both and I tend to use the ticket corner punch more than the slit punch. I use the slit punch primarily for scalloped edges.

I vote for ticket punch also. I have used it quite a bit, especially on the panels I make with my A2 cuttlebug folders.

I have them both and I think that I use my ticket punch more. It's all about preference! Good Luck!
