i have a sizzix contraption with some dies, my question is can i use the sizzix to make my nestabilities etc...

Do you mean use your sizzix for cutting with the nestabilities?

If so the answer is yes, you just have to get the right combo on the plates.

what do you mean right combos, is that like the padding that goes under and above the nestabilities. oh boy im soo lost i think im going to have to invest in getting the correct materials for this thing.. my oh my..

Yes, you can use your Sizzix machine to cut/emboss Spellbinders dies. Go here and you can read what 'sandwich' you will need to make them work

This is the "sandwich" (stack of plates) I use to cut my Spellbinders dies. The bottom of the sandwich starts with #1, the top is #

1: Multi Purpose Platform (MPP) on tab 2 (all the way closed, no tabs opened)
2: Clear cutting plate
3. Spellbinders die with the "ridge" on the die Facing UP
4: Your cardstock or paper facing DOWN
5. Clear cutting plate

Run through Big Kick/Shot

If you want to emboss and cut, use a crease pad. The red, blue or black one will work just fine. I use the blue and like it because it is just a bit thicker. If you have the black you will need one cardstock shim (just a piece of cardstock - a half sheet)

1. MPP tab 2
2. Clear cutting plate
3. (SHIM IF YOU ARE USING BLUE CREASE PAD)
4.. Spellbinders die ridge UP
5.. Paper face DOWN
6. Crease pad

Run through machine.

I may have the dumbest question yet. What size paper do you use and how do you cut it got get the most out of it, when using your bigz xl dies. I assume it the 12x 12 cs ? HELP??

Your paper only needs to be as big as whatever the image you are cutting is. Does that make sense? So, if you Bigz XL die is 6"x6", your paper doesn't need to necessarily be that big. You just need a piece big enough to cover the outline of the image you are cutting. For example, the SU! Beautiful butterflies die....I only cut a square big enough to cover the butterfly I want to cut. Not the whole surface of the die. Make sense?
