Default simple green

Does someone have the recipe for the simple green cleaner for use with our rubber stamps? Do you dilute it according to package directions or a bit differently than they say? Do you add glycerin? I just have no idea and need someone who does this to tell me all the secrets? Does it clean as well as SU's stampin mist?

Thanks,

Shelley BC

IMHO it cleans just as well as Stampin' Mist...until I became a demo....that's all I used. I dilute per the instructions and just spray it on my Stampin' Scrub. It doesn't have the conditioner like the Stampin' Mist...but, I've been stamping for almost 17 years and I don't have damaged rubber. It also works great to clean the ink stains off your hands! HTH

Cool

Hello.

I use Simple Green for everything! When you find out let me know? Does anyone know what removes black Stazon? I am reluctant to use it on my stamps that I really love and I just purchased "BUTTON BEAR" off eBay and the nicest one (of course....the big bear) is so badly stained---I can only imagine it's Stazon.

I don't dilute it, just use it straight from the bottle. Have not had any problems with my stamps. It's great for Stazon.

dkessler73, I use stazon cleaner for mine. Works great. The stazon still stains the stamp but you won't get any residue when stamping with another color.

I've tried diluting the Simple Green: 1 part SG to 4 parts water and it works great to clean stamps.
I agree with nightstalker, Staz On cleaner (available at Michael's) is great for getting rid of Staz on residue.

Thanks you guys, Looks like everyone uses it differently. I think I will try the one part SG to two parts water and add some glycerine to help condition the stamp.

I also use Simple Green straight from the bottle. I put some directly onto a paper towel and move my stamp around on it until clean. I use India Ink Black for all my watercoloring, etc. and it removes that great!
