Default Silhouette Download Subscription

Is a subscription to the Silhouette online store worth it? They're having 20% off subscriptions right now and was considering taking advantage.

I think so, especially if you are newbie to the Silhouette store, there are going to be tons of files you want and it can get pricey if you're buying them individually. I got a subscription for my first year, which is ending in February and I have tons of files. But I don't think I'll be renewing my subscription for another year because I'm having a hard time using up all my credits each month. You lose them if you don't use them after a certain amount of time, so a lot of the time I'm just buying stuff I don't really want. But I'm glad I got the subscription for my first year as a Silhouette user, it's a great value.

For me, yes. I upgraded this year to the $15 subscription (from $10 last year) and IMO, even if I only buy $15 and not the entire $50, it already paid for itself. I also like not having the small transactions every time I buy a shape. There are a lot of "would like to haves" for me, and without the subscription, I may not purchase, some of my favorites come from this category. I also hoard a lot of the clearance shapes that I wouldn't otherwise get.

I bought the basic subscription. It is only $8 a month and that would only be 8 files at regular price. Starting out I only have the files from the free $10 download card and a few I bought at 50% off.

The Basic subscription would give me 300 files and I highly doubt I want that many, but I can download any I want. Plus they have digi paper files too.

Great question Cindy_Ray as another newbie I've been concerning but truly wondered if I would download enough. I am also have some issues with cutting but usually it is my not being familiar enough with the process. Gonna try to play some tonight.
