Shimmer Paint by Stampin' Up!
Has anyone tried using Shimmer Paint from page 27 of SU's new Holiday Mini?
Are there any tricks to using it, Gallery views to check, opinions good or bad, etc?
Is it the same as Shimmerz that some have written about on earlier threads?
The Mini says to apply it to a stamp with a dauber. Can you also paint a stamped image or the background paper?

Heather's video is a good beginning. She puts classic ink on her stamp, uses a dauber to apply the Shimmer Paint to it, and then stamps and lets the image dry. Has anyone else tried it or seen other examples?

Thanks for posting the video, Im sure there will be tons of ways to use this paint!!
I think you could use the negitive image from a die cut and apply the shimmerz paint like a "stencil, or lightly ink the edges of your cardstock or maybe even with a brayer...I will have to try that. Has anyone tried to spray it on?

I've tried the Champagne and the Platinum. The champagne is a lot less opaque then the platinum. It gives just a nice tint of shimmer. the platinum is a lot more bold, and you can actually see the silver colour a lot more. both are very nice though. Just keep in mind that they come in bottles that are .5, (point 5) of an ounce, not 5 ounces - my upline and I made that mistake! But seriously, a tiny little bit goes a LOOOOONG way, especially with the platinum!

The Shimmer Paint in the video looks a lot like Tsukineko's all purpose ink. The bottles are exactly the same and all-purpose ink is what Tsukineko is recommending for use with the Potion No. 9 for making your own glitter mists with memento ink.

It is the All Purpose Ink. Unlike the Lumiere paint, this is very, very thin bodied. A little does go a very long way, for sure! It is just beautiful... |

Does anyone know where you can buy Tsukineko paints? I'd like to try some of the other colors without having to make my own like in the videos I've seen. All I've been able to find so far are sets of 12 colors and they cost more than I am willing to pay. I'd like to find some individual bottles. I've ordered two colors from SU, but they haven't come yet.
Has someone who has used the shimmer paint compared it to the Shimmerz product and Twinkling H20s? I've used H20s but not Shimmerz and would like a comparison of ease of use with a brush and how much each sparkles. I want to use it on line images to color in sections of the image rather than covering the entire image with the paint.
