Refilling Copic markers

I need to refill my first marker and it is the colorless blender pen.

I watched several videos on YouTube on how to do this.

Some say to remove the chisel tip and drop about 20 drops of ink from the refill bottle into the barrel of the marker.

Others say drip 8-10 drops of ink "onto" the chisel tip while it is still in the marker.
The only thing the seem to agree upon is to refill from the chisel tip end.

Which method of refilling do you use?

Barbara, either way is correct... and yes... always refill from the chisel end. You can either drip and drop directly onto the tip (this takes some time and patience) or you can pull the chisel tip out and drop the ink directly into the marker. Either way... make sure to remove the cap from the sketch end also... watch that end closely... and when it turns shiny, it's full! (If ink starts to drip out of the brush end, you overfilled.) Won't hurt your marker, you just need to scribble the extra onto some scratch paper... or color with it right away! LOL

I just filled it and it was easy. I dripped the ink on the chisel end.
It took more than 20 drops, but I carefully watched the markings on the bottle to be sure I didn't use more than 2 cc's

When I started I looked closely at the tip of the brush end and it was bone dry. That would be why it was not working well to remove a bit of color over a line

Oh yes... a nice juicy colorless blender is a MUST!

I pull my chisel tip out and put 18 drops in.

I drip--easy and no mess.

IF oyu have patience for it ... I would opt not to remove the nib becuase the less you take it in and out ... the better for the nib
