Default Punch Storage

Can anyone provide me with a blog of someone who gave instructions and posted pictures of how they store punches on curtain rods? I saw several a year or so ago.

You're such a sweetheart...thanks much!
Does one size rod fit all punches?

I actually tried 4 different rods from Linen & Things before I found the ones that worked. These are the rods that are 2 inches from the wall when mounted. I only have my big punches on them as I have a ton of them and I used all of my wall space.

I did just check and the medium sized SU! punches also work fine (like the 3/4 inch square size, heart, etc) BUT the little punches (like the 1/4 inch circle punch) do not work. IF you have the wall space, the handheld punches will also hang on the rod but don't actually lean up against the wall.

HTH...love this idea and it was perfect for this little space of wall that I had left in my stamp room.

NOTE: I have also heard of people buying the cafe rods from WalMart to use. I looked at these but I liked the mounting system better on the rods I bought because it seemed more sturdy for the heavy punches. The price was not that much different either and you can always use the 20% off linen n things or bed bath and beyond coupons

Have fun

Hey...me again...I just remembered that I think they actually had the same rods that were only 1 inch from the wall and that would most likely work for the small ones

Someone else I know used wooden dowels and the hooks that you stick to the wall and can remove. So these might hold the smaller punches. She is having a family crisis so I can't ask her, but someone else might now.

I have zippo wall space left, so I mounted mine on the front of my bookshelf!

What wonderful ideas. I never thought of storing punches like this before. Sure beats digging through a drawer to find the punch you need.

I have a peg board and I just used the hooks and a regular old round rod for one row and then found a piece of copper pipe my DH had lying around for the other. My large punches are on a curtain rod mounted below the window.

Years ago Home Interiors had an expandable slat shelf that I have my punches on. It also has hooks on the supports that I have baskets and containers for storage.
