I think it is sheer genius of Nichole to come up with 5 different types of ribbon to match her cardstock. Got my order today and it is sooo yummy! I still love SU!, but I think PTI has a winner here:
1. STRONG colored cardstock so you can have a colored, sturdy base of 110lbs.
2. all that different, but MATCHING ribbon. Heaven!!
If PTI goes the distance and comes up with 48+ colors (or even 30!), I will have a big decision to make. I cannot afford to have both cardstocks from each company. The ribbon will probably win on this decision!
Oddly, I love SU! stamps more than PTIs. ??? Might be ordering stamps from one company and paper/ribbon from the other!
I've heard a lot of people say they're going to phase out their SU! supplies for PTI instead. I believe the goal is to offer two new colors every month. Then I think Nichole mentioned possibly going into brads/eyelets and other matching accessories, like SU! does.
I totally in love with the new colored paper and matching ribbons! I ordered a pack of each of the papers last month with matching dotted satin and twill tape ribbon in Aqua Mist. I returned this month for a pack of each of the papers and dotted satin and twill tape in both colors along with the spring green I held out on last month. I'm gonna keep buying the paper during each monthly release and eventually replacing my SU paper with PTI.
Oh...I cant wait to get home today and get my PTI order. I ordered the greens and the berry colors paper, ink and ribbos...got it all~! I am so excited! Wonder what color is next.
I love my PTI paper and ribbon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love the pallet inks as well! I believe they are releasing two a month all year so 24 colors - I'm not sure if there will be more than that. The ribbon is just such a good deal!
I love the idea, too!! I have ordered all the ribbon, cardstock, and ink for all 4 colors and will continue to do it every month. I don't know if I will replace SU cardstock. I don't think it has to be one or the other. Her colors coordinate well with SU colors, too.
To answer the question about the berry color, here is a card I made with it a couple of days ago. Yes, it is like a deep satin. Maybe a mix between Cameo Coral and a shade of dark pink.

Wow! If she goes into more embellishments, she will get a good part of my business, for sure. She seems to be matching everything. SU! does not have an brad color for every color cardstock. Mind you, maybe Nichole would not do this either. It will be an interesting couple of years for PTI as they grow as a company.
Very fun as a papercrafter to watch this all happen. And now Nichole is offering 10-20$ off Canadian shipping costs with orders over 100-200$. Very nice of her to do this for us Canadians! I sure appreciate it!
Is the PTI paper colored thruout, or does it have a white core? I dont like paper with the white core. I love their stamps, so my next order I will try some paper. I like how you dont have to order huge quanities and can buy the cubed inks seperate.

No white core. It's thick and delicious. You will love it. Definitely get some. I cannot wait till the 15th to see the next to colors
I *love* the paper, ribbon and custom Palette inks!! Since I already own all of the other Palette spots, I've been buying the new colors in the spots too. Last month (February), the spots weren't available so I had bought the normal size in the two new colors. This month (March) I bought all four colors of the spots.

I agree, you can't beat the prices, the quality or the service. I ordered the Moss and Mist cardstock and pattened paper last month and was so impressed, I went all out and got the works for March and I couldn't be happier. SU seems to be way overpriced for their basics. I won't pay 7 to 9 bucks for plain gross grain ribbon. PTI is the way to Go!!
Yes, the CS and ribbon is DELISH! I definately won't stop ordering from SU, especially since I'm a demo, but the PTI goods are certainly a fun addition...I can't wait to see what new colors she releases next month...the ribbon and CS really are phenomenal quality...if you haven't bought any, run and get some soon! You will be very pleased!
I have tons of SU paper, but must admit I am about to order some PaperTrey paper to try. I like using quality materials, and I think this might be the best card base. If you are going to use lots of layers, I expect it would be TOO heavy, but I like to make fairly simple cards and concentrate on coloring rather than layers, so this might become a staple for me. I have started planning my order, and those scrumptious ribbons were the hardest part to choose!

I recently purchased PTI cardstock, ink and ribbon in berry sorbet and I am absolutely impressed with the product, the prices and the service. That cardstock is so thick and creamy, it's just the best.
Of course, as a SU demo, I have to come to the defense of SU on the ribbon pricing issue.
PIT 5/8 inch grosgrain is $3 for five yards; SU 5/8 inch grosgrain is 15 yards for 7.95, so it's really less expensive the PTI. Not trying to be contrary, just compare apples to apples.
