Question Provo Craft Sew Crafty Mini *Moved - Tools

Has anyone tried the Provo Craft Sew Crafty Mini sewing machine? I love the sewing on cards, but love my Bernina more:shock: - no way am I putting paper through it. I know it would, but besides dulling the needles... I just can't bring myself to do it!

This little machine is only about $10, not a huge investment if I don't like it, but the nearest store that has them is about an hour away. Anyone tried one?

It stinks. Period, lol! I don't know many people who've tried it that like it. And if you have a nice Bernina, you will DEFINITELY hate this thing. Hancock Fabrics has a Janome mini sewing machine (small, but a real machine, not a toy!) on sale for 39.99, both online and in their stores. I love it! Yeah, 4 times as much as the Provo toy, but well worth it I think.

Thank you, good to know - both the review of the sew crafty and the tip on the Janome mini!

I agree it is useless! I tried two-traded first one in after not working- then gave up. I have never read/heard a good review on these.

I also have a Janome that I purchased from QVC around $50(TSV), it works great.

I also bought one a few years ago for around $5 (thanks to a 50% off coupon). I think I may have read the directions and put batteries in it.

My name for this machine is the Sew Crappy! Don't bother buying one!
