Hi everyone! I purchased the 132 pack/tin at Michael's for 83.00 CAD. They were 299.00. So now I don't have to keep picking separate colors.

I just lucked out too because they only had one.

I can't wait to start using them

I haven't posted on here in a long time, so I thought I would share a few cards I made for the 100 in 100 challenge recently.

I'm looking for a color chart with colors already filled in. Like this one: http://www.jerrysartarama.com/images...ncil-chart.jpg That chart is perfect except that it doesn't have all my colors.

Any ideas where I can find a filled in chart? I found one, but it didn't have all my colors on it.

What size set do you have?

You can get the blank ones to fill in, and have a truer representation of the color, rather than the printed one, which can be distorted by the printer ink. At Prismacolor's website, they have some blank charts you can fill in with your own pencils on card stock you typically color on.

Good luck.......

I printed the 132 set blank one and have colored the circles but those circles don't seem to give me a good color representation for some reason.

Might be the paper you're using??? I downloaded mine from the Prisma site because I have the complete set, but the paper definitely makes a difference!

I smoothed out the colored circles with a blender pen and it seems better. Could be the paper because I just printed it out on a cheap printer paper. Thanks for the suggestion!

Kathy try printing it again using cardstock that you would normally use when you color. That made a difference for me.

Seeing as I haven't colored in years........what are the latest paper and ink combos for the best prismacolor/OMS technique?

I am a fan of archival ink.but I think any ink is "ok" for colored pencils unless you use OMS with it. .I haven't colored in a stamped image in so long I am truly not sure. I was never really picky about card stock either to be honest. I have used Neenah, Gina K , PTI and Georgia pacific..all were fine to me. I did tend to cut up actual drawing paper and use though.
I would suggest just using what you have to see what best fits your coloring style and going from there.
Oh and check out Dinas blog..she has TONS or tips and ideas..! Happy coloring!

Hi there,

This is what've discovered.

I started using Georgia Pacific which worked great. There is some bleeding on the back of the paper which doesn't matter much if your layering or mounting.

Strathmore - has a very light cream under tone but I always get the vellum smooth.

Neenah - good paper to have if you use copics as well as prismas

Gina K - good paper for both also.

Paper Trey ink is mainly meant for copic coloring and awesome for card bases.

ALL are great to use Memento black Tuxedo or Rangers Archival Jet black.
Both are the only two that I can work with for both techniques.

I have all those papers. If you are interested I can send you samples of each one and so you can compare what is better for you.

If you are PM me address

Hi everyone! I haven't been on here in years but just wanted to pop in and say hi. I have been doing more mixed media and other non paper crafty things and haven't colored much in ages. Last night I dug through my mountain of old stamps, inked some up and pulled out my pencils to color - ended up staying awake until midnight (which is very very late for me!) Now I wish I could sit here and color all day. I used my faber castell polychromos.

My mom finally ran out of cards and has asked me for 25 more so that has gotten me back into it.

Love, Love, Love my Prismacolor Pencils. Been using them a couple of years now and learn something new everyday with them. Just experimented and cam up with a pretty combo for hair - used Bronze, Light Umber and Dark Brown.

Hi Laura, here's a link to a photo of using the Bronze, Light Umber and Dark Brown Prismacolor pencils. I've tried for about an hour to insert the photo into this reply and it just won't show up. I'm doing something wrong but can't figure it out - hope the link works

Here's a stamped image I colored today. Instead of Gamsol, which is toxic and aggravates my asthma, I use a non-toxic orange based solvent made by EcoHouse. I need more coloring practice but I'm happy with the solvent!
