Default Prisma markers and stamps

I'm looking into buying prismacolor markers but I wanted to check first and find out if you can color directly onto the stamp like other markers? What do you have to do to wash it off? Use the Stazon ink remover? Please let me know. I'm at the checkout page of Dick Blick!! LOL Thanks in advance.

I think they have to be water based to color on the stamp, and my understanding is that PC markers are like copics...alcohol based. So are sharpies (alcohol based) and they stain permanently.

Someone else please comment and correct me if I'm wrong...

You can only use Prisma's on paper. You can not directly color on your stamp. You will ruin your stamp. Prisma's are alcohol based. Copics, Sharpies, & Bics fall into this category.

You need a waterbased marker like SU, CTMH, LePlume's and even Crayola's.

HTH!
