Default Printing Digi Images - help!!!!

Hello. I have recently become hooked on digital stamps/images. I received a free digi yesterday that I wanted to use to enter a design team competition. However, I can't get my printer to print it. It says in the print que' or whatever you want to call it, forever. I have an HP inkjet that is only about a year or two old. I have printed digis from several sources, some of which are of a larger size than the one that I am having a problem with. Therefore, I can't figure out what the problem is. I have printed images from Whimsey Doodles, McMahon Five Designs, Dustin Pike, to name a few; and had no problems with them whatsoever. Has anyone else had this problem and figured out how to fix it?

This is not a problem with the image but you printer.

On the Windows Button bottom left hand button where you find all your programs.

If not ask in help. For Control Panel

Open your Control Panel.... find the printer...... RIGHT CLICK ON IT. choose delete all jobs.

You may find it's under a slightly different that means the same.

This will clear all the jobs. then you should be OK.

It it stays in the printer's queue for long time, then most likely there is a hardware problem (most likely your printer), unless you are able to print other things.

Try clearing your printer's queue like Sharron told you above, and then reset your computer just in case, then test your printer with something else, and at the last step send your Digi to print again.

If you are able to print other documents and not the digi, then there is something wrong with the file, and either you need to download it again or contact the designers to inform them their file may be corrupt.

I did what you said, I even ran my Adware software and had it clean all of the junk oiut of my computer. I also deleted my printer, and then tried to add it back on again (unsuccessfully), now I have no printer at all. I got an error message, which just says "error" and nothing else. I have been working on this for several days, I am so frustrated.

Have you checked the connections? Sometimes you may need to play with the USB ports (connecting your printer to a different port) to get it working again...

Thanks alot ladies for your suggestions. I completely reset everything, by turning off not only the computer, but the main power source (surge protector), then turned it back on. Everything reset itself, and I am back in business. Phew, I was going nuts not being able to use my cute digi images! Amazing just how much we get dependant on our electronic devices.

I am glad to hear that you got things working again. I don't know where you got your digi's from, but here is a site I recently found and there are freebies on there. I downloaded every single freebie there is.. I had to unzip most, but some were just right click and save. http://www.dustinpike.com/ click on the "my blog" and you can scroll through way back to find the freebies.. they are posted usually on Wednesday.
